A good intro, but he goes too much into sermon mode explaining/interpreting the texts he’s working off of. And sometimes, like at the end re: archangel Michael, it can be easily confusing to know what midrash he’s leaning on versus biblical texts.

More interested in his bibliography that rereading this book
