Romantic suspense from the Queen of Rubenesque Romances. Sparks fly the night Lana Clarke meets to plan her sister's wedding--and not just because curvaceous Lana announces she's stopped dieting and doesn't care if she's fat as maid of honor. The strong-willed sister of the bride attracts the attention of the groom's devastatingly handsome best man, Anthony Angelino. But when the sparks become flames, Lana's in trouble. Tony's first wife died mysteriously. Will Lana be next?
This book was ridiculous. What's really sad is I paid almost full price for it, and it was not worth it. The characters were too cookie-cutter and the conversations the hero and heroine had was plain elementary. I will immediately putting this book up to sell. I hope I get at least a little of my money back. What sucks is I really like the BBW/Handsome hero storyline, but this one was just insulting....yuck!
I was having a hard time getting through this book but was plodding along...right up to the point the sister, Jenny, starting getting sympathy for the high school loss of her fat friend and it was explained that THAT was why she was such a bitch to the female lead. "I thought if I said them to you it would make you stay on your diet and you wouldn't have to hear those mean words from strangers." Umm yeah, nothing says I'm a good sister like tearing Lana down so strangers don't. Delete!
