Waking Sebastian
BBW Michelle Anderson is coming off a bad breakup. To help fuel her creative juices, the author accepts a friend's invitation to visit her new home in Florida. When she arrives she finds her friend gone, leaving Michelle to work and explore the old home and the beach. While taking an early morning swim, Michelle has an encounter with a gorgeous man she thinks is a new muse. But this muse is different than all her others. For one thing he'd not Charles, her current muse. For another, he's interested in Michelle, and not her heroine. Not that Michelle's complaining. This was a very good story. Michelle and Sebastian are both likable characters and I liked their story. This is a fated love/insta-love story so if that bothers you then you might not want to try this story.
Michelle is a 31 year old BBW romance writer. She recently split from a boyfriend that treated her like crap and broke up with her to be with a skinny 22 year old. Unfortunately, her issues with her Ex have caused her to have some problems with her writing. She decides to stay at a friend's beach house and spend the time working on her book.
Sebastian is a man curse by a voodoo curse. When he was living (186 years before) he was the rich son of a plantation owner who didn't care about anything but his selfish wants. A voodoo woman cursed him to make him learn a lesson and Sebastian has been cursed to only be awake 1 hour (at sunrise) everyday since then.
Michelle was supposed to be spending time with her friend, Kate, on her visit to the beach but Kate gets called away and lets Michelle use the place to concentrate on writing her book. Michelle happens to be on the beach at dawn and meets Sebastian. At first she thinks he's a bit of her imagination soon she realizes differently. It takes her some time to believe that he's really under a curse and that she just might be his "Princess Charming" but once she does she's all in. I liked the way things worked and was happy to see Michelle and Sebastian get their HEA in the end.
This was a very enjoyable story. I really liked both Sebastian and Michelle and was happy to see them get together. Things did happen fast since it's a fated/insta-love story but it was played out pretty well so it didn't seem too overly rushed. Overall, I thought it was a sweet and sexy story and I'd recommend it. :D
