About the author

Bobby Casella began his writing career as a burnt out accountant, spending much of his time at airports, and in need of a way to cope with the monotony. So he created his own fictional world, on his own terms, through his writings.

His first book, Entry-Level, explores the mind of a cynical Millennial whom is looking for instant gratification and success. As the result of a failed bank heist and subsequent gunshot wound, the pseudo-autobiographical main character learns to appreciate the simple things in life, and emerges a much better man, ready to take on the world in a more honorable way.

Having grown up, Bobby now calls himself “Bob”, and is busy at work on his 2nd novel, ThORIUM, a thriller about ex-Navy SEALs, terrorists, corrupt politics, and the pursuit of clean energy. Expected early 2015.

Dark and Funny, those are the two words that come to my mind as I read this wonderful book. I have never actually met someone with this type of personality, but I have always heard they are out there. Money is the most important thing to so many people that it is sad at times. This book made me look at this lifestyle in a whole new light. Not only was this book dark with the way the main character acted towards his so-called friends, but there is so much humor in what they do and how they act.

I have to say the build-up to the bank heist and the shenanigans that take place are both sad and funny. I could never imagine this happening to anyone. I'm just glad the main character learned his lesson about the importance of life and friendships over any amount of money. Bobby Casella is pure genius in the way this book is written. Entry-Level will leave you cursing at the tactics these people use in order to get money and laughing at the way things go horribly wrong at the same time. This book is excellent if you are having a bad day and need a quick laugh. I recommend this book to anyone who seems to feel like no one’s life could be worse than their own.

Entry Level was a nice surprise. The story is a light, funny look at the world of unemployment along with a bit of romantic comedy. The leads DB Sweeney and Missi Pyle have an easy, unforced style; they are much more endearing than the typical quirky independent characters that push everything in your face. Missi Pyle deserves more acting opportunities like this role. The supporting characters, especially Kurtwood Smith and Taylor Negron, are colorful but not unrealistic. (Sweeney's first encounter with Negron is pretty damn great.) Plenty of good, honest moments between all of these people as they hunt for jobs and vent about resumes or being too old... I loved the discussions on the awesome sandwiches made by Sweeney's character. Whenever someone mentioned an unusual ingredient, I totally got hungry.
