The Perfect Insider is, to me, such a monumental mystery that I was kind of worried going into the rest of the series that it was a fluke or that none of it would match up, and Doctors, the second volume, while entertaining in its own way, was nothing all that special, so I'm glad to see here that Mori can actually keep the bangers going.
This was a super fun book, from the setting, the characters and especially the dialogue and interactions between Moe and Saikawa. I still don't think it matches up to Perfect Insider, but it sure stands up on its own merits. That final chapter was impeccable, too. And this is still one of the books Mori wrote before Perfect Insider, so I really am excited to see what his future works will bring.
