I gave this 4 stars, because I don't normally like historical romance. This is so well written that I was able to enjoy it without the aggravations that I usually have with the genre. Even though the plot is somewhat predictable, I liked the journey. I liked all the characters and look forward to see what comes next in Forbidden Amber and the rest of the series. Enjoyable read whether you like historical romance or not.
