A detective’s daughter is seriously injured in a hit and run accident at her grade school. While there are a number of witnesses, the driver escapes. A suspect is developed via the investigation, but the proofs for arrest and conviction are lacking. All involved know the suspect to be a prime candidate, but without evidence the case will remain unsolved. The detective, Ray Casey, plans to frame the suspect for another crime and thus get him to somehow pay for the damage he inflicted upon his daughter. The evidence will be foolproof and he feels there will certainly be a conviction once he sets the suspect up.
