More Than A Meal - The Joy Bus Community of Chefs

Rate this book
Food Network “Chopped” Champion, Jennifer Caraway has Soul. The Joy Bus has Purpose. Together they are a formidable force. The Joy Bus is a not-for-profit organization whose sole purpose is to relieve the daily struggles of homebound cancer patients with a fresh Chef inspired meal and a friendly face. Founded in 2011 and named in honor of Jennifer’s dear friend Joy who struggled with the painstaking side-effects of cancer, ultimately losing her life to this horrific disease. Millions of cancer patients are left to fend for themselves during this turning point in their lives and the mission of The Joy Bus is to help relieve the burden put on families during this time by providing healthy meals specified to meet our patron’s needs. Jennifer joined forces with some of Phoenix Valley's most prestigious Chefs, James Beard Award recipient Chefs, and collaborated to bring us MORE THAN A MEAL - The Joy Bus Community of Chefs. A community is exactly what this cookbook brings to your home. The cookbook features recipes from Charleen Badman - FnB, Tracy Dempsey - TDOriginals, Clint Woods - Fox Restaurant Concepts, Tuan “Butch” Raphael - AZPops, Danielle Leoni - The Breadfruit & Rum Bar, Michael Rusconi - Rusconi’s American Kitchen, Stephen Johns - The larder + the delta, Josh Herbert - Hot Noodles Cold Sake, Gio Osso- Virtu, Bernie Kantak - The Gladly and Russell LaCasce - ZuZu. The Cookbook is the final product of a 3 year journey that Jennifer had set her mind to achieve. With the extreme generosity of volunteers, board members, community partners, donors and overall RAD humans, the team was able to celebrate the success of the distribution of this cookbook in January 2021. A worthwhile investment in a great cause! All proceeds from the sale of the cookbook will go directly into The Joy Bus mission of delivering quality food to homebound cancer patients. Jump on the Bus - we know you will enjoy the ride!
