The Thing Itself

Rate this book
The Thing Itself is an extraordinary collection of poetry and photography by two friends, poet Terry Lucas and photographer Gary Topper, whose talents have forged a union of their art. Lorna Stevens says, "It's as if the words and pictures join together to create a new relationship, neither dependent upon the other, each enhanced by the partnership." Wendy Barker writes, "This is a rich collection infused with wise and musical questionings...." Both the poetry and the photography in this book draw us to the thing, whether it be animate or inanimate, loved or feared, familiar or foreign. And from that tight focus we then see the world that contains it. 8" X 10", 83 pages.
