Unlike many TV tie-in books, this one actually gave the impression that the author had not only watched the show it's based on, but also understood it - and possibly even the comics the show was based on - well enough to write something which felt like an episode. The plot is standard silly 1987 Turtles cartoon fare (albeit peppered delightfully with Britishisms here and there - these are the Teenage Mutant HERO Turtles, remember!), and featured a good balance of humour and action. Worth reading as an adult if only to amuse yourself by imagining the parent of a small child in the early 1990s trying to read the word 'testudinous' out loud at bedtime.
