At first I thought this would be like all the rest of the gardening books I have read, fortunately I was wrong. This book just reached out and grabbed me and I didn't want it to end. So many little things about each garden reached out to me, but if I had to pick a favorite it might have to be the Plimoth Garden. Every garden featured the owner showcases three herbs from it which are their favorites. Each showcased herb has additional information on it which nice to have, some of the info I had forgotten about and some I never knew. This is definitely one book I will end up buying for my own bookshelf.

This was a nice book with lots of inspiring information from some of the most well known herbalists. The photography was wonderful. I liked the the variety and how the authors highlighted each garden and gardener. Each herbalist also listed their favorite herbs and why which was informative and interesting. It was easy to read from cover to cover and not just browse as is the way with most horticulture or herb books.

I rarely come across a gardening book that I want to read from cover to cover, instead of just looking at the pictures and reading bits and pieces. I started reading the introduction in this book, and ended up devouring the rest of it, all the way to the end! Beautifully written and photographed - it gave me some amazing ideas for my new garden.

Beautiful, inspiring book. I also loved the fact that each gardener chose 3 herbs to highlight. Just enough information to make me think I can grow and use more herbs.
