Cecelia has always been amused that her name means blind, when, as a witch, she was born with the gift of sight and can see past the glamour of the Others that share her world – vampires, werewolves, angels, demons, and their ilk.
Revealing that she can see through their glamours would be dangerous – humans would consider her mad, and the Others would hunt her for the risk to their secrecy that she presents.
When her best friend Paris talks her into taking a job at a men's club Lia is thrown into the Other world that she has always avoided as the club is owned by a Vampire, and werewolves are regular patrons.
As Lia's romance with alpha werewolf Raiden heats up, the vampires that frequent the club become aware of her powers, and her new roommate, Cael, reveals himself to be something more than an annoyingly superior warlock.
Is Lia the witch that she believes herself to be, or the last in a line of a terrible power with the ability to end the world as she knows it?
Everleigh Miles spends her days writing flawed, vulnerable, kinky characters in difficult situations, drinking too much wine, and picking up after Mr Miles, DD Miles, and DS Miles, their two dogs, two cats, and a turtle.
She lives in beautiful Australia, in her dream house at the top of the hill, looking down at the ocean and just a short distance from some of the best wineries the country has to offer (which explains the too much wine).
Thank you for reading and following @everleighmilesauthor.
It's rare to find a story full of both trauma and triumph set in a supernatural world but with such a raw, relatable vibe. This author hits on all the right facets without lingering too long and gives us an unconventional Happily Ever After..... For now.
This is such a great story! Well written, characters are well developed, it was gripping and kept me hooked until the very end. But what else would you expect from this author?! Absolutely loved it and totally recommend you give it a read too.
