Lesbian Fiction: Vampire Romance - Renee Leblanc is a vampire with a broken heart. After more than half a century of roaming the world in an attempt to outrun the pain, she has settled in New Orleans. Can they overcome the forces from within and without that threaten their very existence?
KD (aka Minerva/Rizzleslvr72) is a Southerner and a former nomad, taking up residence in the Mid-West, east coast, and New Orleans over the years. She is also a Hurricane Katrina survivor. Displaced to the mountains of North Carolina, she found her way back to New Orleans, where she lives with her partner of ten years and the strangest dogs and cats in existence. KD enjoys all things geek, from video games to super heroes. She is a veteran in the mental health field working with children and their families for over ten years. She found that she had a talent for writing as a teenager, and through fits and starts, fostered it over the years.
Quite an enjoyable novella, which can be finished in one sitting. There's a wonderful romance within, which, as with all things in life, tastes even better when possessed with conflict and struggles to deal with.
The raunchy portions were good enough to wish for more. Fans of the horror/vampire genre would be left wanting for more blood. I guess there is only so much one can cram in a short story.
➬➱➫➩➪【3.25 Stars】 I am always looking for more paranormal wlw books. This did not disappoint.
The conflict in the story could have been more engaging and I found myself quite bored with that aspect and just focused on the romance side. Although nothing really stood out to me I was surprised when Renee turned Natasha without her consent. This lack of consent really bugged me throughout the rest of the story. It made the romance definitely feel one-sided after knowing this.
This short story was a quick and easy read. ➢Happy reading!

Short and entertaining but no discovery. So it's pretty predictable however the storyline wasn't bad especially with Renee sense of lost without Natasha
