About the author

DON RICHARDSON, author of Secrets of the Koran, Lords of the Earth and Eternity in Their Hearts, has been studying the Muslim world for more than 30 years.

He and his wife, Carol, spent 15 years among the Sawi, a Stone Age tribe of Irian Jaya. Don designed an alphabet suited to the Sawi language, authored 19 primers, taught the tribesmen to read in their native tongue and translated the entire New Testament. More than half of the Sawi accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Peace Child is the story of this mission.

All of Richardson's books focus on what he calls his "redemptive analogy" thesis: the idea that each culture has some story, ritual, or tradition that can be used to illustrate and apply the Christian gospel message.

Since 1977, Don has served as ambassador-at-large for World Team, a mission organization.

Don holds an honorary doctorate of literature from Biola University in La Mirada, California, is an ordained pastor and speaks at more than 40 church conferences each year.

The model put forth by Richardson is an interesting concept, but it was difficult to follow and doesn't seem convincing to me. It's presented as a method for logical and scientific thinkers to consider spiritual things, but it still relies on non-testable hypothesis. While I appreciate the effort that Richardson put into his model, I don't see how this non-testable, complex model is any better than a simple profession of faith.

Unhidden by Don Richardson describes his discovery of a “series of 22 laws that by their nature link everything with everything!” Richardson believes a unified field of truth exists and is knowable. He presents these laws as evidence that God in Christ Jesus is the creator and sustainer of the universe. Using scientific language he delineates these laws. The book is beyond my comprehension since I have little science background, so much of it I skimmed over. I’ve learned from and enjoyed Richardson’s other books, Peace Child, Eternity in Their Hearts, Lords of the Earth and The Secrets of the Koran. He has led an amazing life as a missionary to headhunters and now as a speaker and teacher of others.
