In this three part poetry collection, Logan Duane explores the deepest parts of her heart, soul, and mind. Words for tired hearts illustrates her experiences with love, heartache, mental illness, recovery, and self-identity.
As a friend of Logan’s, I must say her writing is just as gorgeous as she is inside. Her books reflect the pain she’s suffered in a way that many others can relate to. Words for Tired Hearts is just as amazing, if not even moreso, as Things I Didn’t Say in Therapy. The depths she digs into while writing these simple yet powerful poems is incredibly moving. I look forward to reading her next book.
This book transported me back to the summer of 2022, making me feel like I was peering into the soul of a past version of myself. The prose are raw, unfiltered, and real in a way that feels inspiring... It might even serve as a quiet litmus test for anyone questioning whether the person they’re with is truly the one they want to be with.
