I didn't like the majority of this book, but the ending was really good, and the twists leading up to it too.
I was actually rooting for a character I previously wasn't that fond of and I'm happy they got their justice. I'm soooooo glad that .

OMG I cried my eyes out at the end.!! J showed out on this one. Seven swag his cray..n jus the way he's described as a father melts my hurt. I jus win Ball would've "FINISHED HIS BREAKFAST" wen it came to Millie. All the twist and turns had my head spinning. Jus wondering wat really happen to Lola and lil ball!! #TEAMSEVEN.!

This was good, but as always, Jaquavis Coleman hurt my feelings and pissed me the fuck off!!!!! All those good feelings I had at the end of the last book, The Dopefiend...GONE WITH THE WIND bitch!
Millie was let out of prison on an appeal. When Seven found out, he sent Ball to kill her ass. He is questioning his decision to become an informant and is considering doing it in order to prove that he's down with the team. Also, he intends to tell Seven that he was working with the FEDS and hopes killing Millie will show where his loyalty lies. He gets to Millie's house and she's reading the Bible. This nigga gets all conflicted. He's ready to kill her, but he's torn. But the bitch knew he was behind her without even looking. And she knew why he was there. Because she's a fucking gangster, not a Bible thumper. I knew that shit was a front and Ball fell for it. And what the fuck did that bitch Millie do? She came back and killed Seven in front of his son. Stupid nigga! I knew that shit was bull. I'm mad as fuck Seven is dead.
I did know Ball wasn't going to snitch on Seven, but I'm still confused about the real reason why he agreed to do it in the first place. He was in jail for murder. He killed his love by mistake. It came across that he wanted to be able to visit her grave, and that was why he decided to turn snitch, but that shit ain't make no sense. He was a real ass nigga. He was in the dope game heavy when the shit happened that got him locked up. He hates rats and he hates cops. So that bullshit about wanting to be free to visit a grave that he wasn't going to be able to visit anyway ain't make no sense.
I was really tripping when I found out Lola was a cop. I was actually more mad about that shit. She was so G. But she quit the force and refused to cooperate with the investigation she was supposed to be helping with.
Lil Rah came back. He don't seem like a gangsta, he seem like a fucking serial killer. He became a writer, like his loving father, God rest his soul, knew that he would. He wrote a scathing article about snitch ass Braylen Kennedy, aka Ball. And Ball stupid ass brought him to his home to clear the air and tell his side of the story, because the original article made him feel some type of way. Rah didn't know becoming a writer and writing that article would bring him face to face with Ball and give him the opportunity to avenge his father's death. But he took it. Then he took his ass to where Lola was living in seclusion. It ended with him introducing himself as the pen name he goes by and asking if he can talk to her. I'm gonna go head an assume her ass is taking a dirt nap as well.
I really liked the way this book was written. I'm fucking PISSED!!!!!!!!!!! Millie killed my baby Seven, and I am mad I will probably never get to see that bitch really get what she deserves. But the way all the pieces were laid out was just some good shit. That is the thing I really enjoy about reading their books. In this case especially Jaquavis. Ashely is good with the tension and suspense and having your ass stressed out behind the characters stupid ass decisions. Jaquavis is good at the chess game and moving every piece of the story strategically.
I'm still fucking mad though.
UPDATE an hr. later: I just thought about something. That bitch Millie killed Rah's mother and both of his fathers!!! She killed Big Rah to get to Seven, then killed his mother, Toya, then Seven raised him from and infant as his own son, and she killed Seven. So lil Rah going around looking like a nerd killing the people who indirectly caused Seven's death. I need him to figure out how to get to Millie. I'm just not satisfied with that bitch not getting hers. The fact that SHE was doing all this to avenge Hazel, when SHE was the reason Hazel died really just still has me pissed the fuck off.

This was street lit done so right. It really had it all, drugs, murder, mayhem, and a little bit of love thrown in. Seven is a kingpin you can't but help to love. He is ruthless, but has a softer side to him as well. It is shown with his son, and with Ball who he took under his wing. There were so many un-expentencies in this book that it really had me on the edge of my seat. Lola was the total shocker for me. I never in a million years expected her to turn out the way she did. I am a bit disappointed that everyone ends up dead. I know this is to be expected from an A or J book, but this sometimes gets annoying. For once I'd like to see someone survive and live to tell another story. Other than that a gr8 read.

So this one blew my mind. Lola!!!!! Really?!? That was the most unexpected twist in this book! She had me all the way fooled!!! The courtroom scene is very similar to the courtroom scene in Supreme clientele so again I’m seeing repeat incidents across different books. I had a feeling Ball would remain 10 toes down but I also knew the day he walked out that house without killing Milli that it was a wrap. I just knew it 😓 this was a great series. Dame was comical when Ball called him out 🤣🤣 I almost didn’t finish the series after The Dopeman’s Wife but I’m glad I did. It was a pretty good series.

This book was a good read, as I have noticed with this author there is always a twist and a turn somewhere which I love. The story between Seven, Ball and Lola was heartbreaking and I had to ask myself how much can one person suffer ? This story is about the drug game and when you play everyone lose. This book is the third one in the Dopeman trilogy. I absolutely loved this book from start to finish.

Braylon finds himself in a fruitless position as he has to a difficult choice…stay true to the streets or allow the law to pimp him out in their quest to bring down a fellow gangsta. Seven and Ball connect @ a crossroads in both of their lives and against the code of instinct, a change is about to come.
Can Seven’s reign continue with Johnny Law gunning relentlessly for his downfall? Has he lost that seventh instinct of smell and is unable to sniff out the malodorous scent of a rat in his camp? Has Seven’s life lessons and losses impaired his judgment, his gangsta? Will Ball’s true mentality allow him to complete this assignment or will he renege, costing him his freedom and possibly his life? Dopeman 3 lacked the energy that’s expected upon seeing a JaQuavis Coleman stamp. Upon reading this story, I was constantly questioning Seven’s voice and actions, I even thought some to be quite contradictory. Dopeman 3’s saving grace was the unexpected twists toward the end…which basically saved this finale, because as much as I hate to say it, the fizzle was mos def low key. I felt that this was a half-hearted effort and that this wasn’t a decent portrayal of the caliber of work that this author is capable of. I also must add that once more…Millian ‘Millie’ still got that ‘pop’ that allows her to steal any scene she graces! 3.88****

This book was sooo good!!! This is how you end a series with the last being the best; but with a question of could there be another. The notorious Seven gets killed but who does it is the kicker. When you thought you knew how it was going to end, a serious curve ball is thrown! READ THE BOOK!!! This author ALWAYS delivers a great read. 💖

This was a great ending to this trilogy!!! Can’t say I’m happy about all the outcomes but it was very well written! I really be wanting the “bad guys” to win! 😂😂

‼️spoiler alert‼️ This was a very good listen but I am conflicted on how I feel about Ball. Part of me feel like he was a real n*##a but how could he be if he was a snitch? And my 1st instincts about LoLa was she was a cop but I brushed it off and low and behold..... smh I also knew she would end up pregnant from just that one night. The end though was a bit of a shocker Lil Ra came back real smooth. Although I knew he would be back, I thought it would be a book 2 and a whole storyline. Never could have imagined he was the one sitting there listening to his fathers demise the whole time!

This was a great book and a great end to a fantastic trilogy. Loved the book from beginning to end. Loved the twists that were thrown in there too. Highly recommend this book.

In my opinion this was the best one out of the trilogy (and then the dopefiend) I’m upset that Seven is gone (but then again A&J always kill the main characters). Although Ball was suppose to kill Millie, Seven should’ve been the one to do it because that was his beef. And of course it came back to bite him in the ass. Lola definitely surprised me I didn’t think she would be feds. That was crazy. I agree though with what Seven thought, she wouldn’t have turned on him. Ball in my eyes yea he was a snitch but he did some real shit when he got up on the stand and lied. He could’ve told the truth but you see he knew Seven was a real ass dude so he saved face a little with me when he switched the story up. I liked him and Sevens bond. He was put in a tuff decision. Back it up to the beginning Zoey was dumb af. She was the reason for her own death. That same night before he left when he had came home and she snuck out the closet he told her then don’t be sneaking up on him and what does she do when he comes back home?? Sneaks up on him. Like girllll that was dumb. Now Lil Rah! That boy smooth with it. Calculated af. JaQuavis is so talented with his writing. Notice how one chapter when they were having Sunday dinner Lil Rah made a comment about his paper he wrote and Seven bragged on his writing skills. And then the plot twist came and turns how he was the write interviewing Ball. I love it. Its always some minor jewels throughout all his books. I’m glad he was getting revenge for his dad. Ball & Lola were basically the reason for Sevens untimely demise. So I understand why Rah was full of revenge, they were the reason he was left all alone to grow up and battle cancer. The Dopeman trilogy was definitely worth the read.

Honestly I loved this book and am so shocked by all of the different twists. First off, I knew that Ball was dumb for not killing Millie. Even before this book I’ve always known that you gotta finish your breakfast so you can’t just up a gun at someone and not shoot! That blew me. Lola being a fed is beyond crazy to me too because they really sold the story of her following after her father but her having Ball’s baby was a little too cliché for me. The biggest shock of the book was the very end though, of course, when Chris Nicks reveals himself to Ball and finishes his breakfast. You hardly realize that the entire book is Ball’s recollection of what happened and is explaining it to Chris until the end when Coleman brings it all back in. Completely caught me off guard but hopefully Lola is able to recognize him before it’s too late. I will miss this series so much.

Chapter 4-Seven is really quick to trust an unknown without doing any due diligence. This was not "boss" like behavior.
The scene between Ball, "G-dog" and the fed taken straight from the 2fast 2furious as well as the scene picking out what "toys" Ball picked out to "play" with next
Chapter 11 -scenes with "G-dog" are just to reminiscent of 2fast 2furious aka fake gangsta

By far the best book in the series. The story was well put together and the timing was better than the previous two books. I love the reporter angle Nick used. I even love how the book ended. Ashley and Jaquavis books tend to have me hating the end but ultimately realizing that it's the only way to end the story in a realistic way. Not everybody makes it out and eventually your bad will catch up to you. I recommend this series to everyone, I love Urban lit.

Jaquavis is one of my favorite authors but I'm not a fan of everything he writes and this wasn't the best and I couldn't even I got halfway through it and I don't have the patience to listen to it anymore thank God for those who did but I just didn't care for it that much and that's okay everything ain't for everybody

The best in the series
When they say save the best for last, this is what they meant. The twist in this book was unbelievable. Who would have known? The fact that I did not catch on earlier is simply beyond me. This book was the best of all three. Ball, Millie, Seven, Lola, Dame, Gay Tony and Lil’Rah are characters that will forever be etched in my memories.

I'm so hurt, these books make you question how loyal those are around you. Seven was a man of principles, but his loneliness allowed him to seek trust in the enemy. Millie is the prime example of a dog eat dog world. Ball fell short when he underestimated Millie. I loved that Rah beat all odds to avenge his father. 🖤 This is my favorite series.
