I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken..but find their happy ever after anyway.
My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as it has a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self help and sociology.
Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.

Short and sweet and to the point.
Frank’s been alone for most of his 51 years and he’s lonely but he fears being with someone thanks to his HIV positive status.
Leif needs discipline to keep him on the straight and narrow and he’s losing that because Ben is now with Kinsey. Then Frank saves him from a horrid scenario forcing them to put all their cards on the table.
For such a short story, Nora packed a lot in. I don’t feel like I was missing a build up, the chemistry between their characters was good. The steam was especially good, especially the discipline.

The plotline was ehhhh. The two (HIV status and Daddy kink) felt so separated. First, he can’t date because of his HIV status. Then out of sudden, Leif needed a Daddy. I understand how this might be the plot device to unite them into a relationship, but there aren’t enough evidence and depth for the Daddy awakening and backstory of Leif needing a daddy. It was bland and doesn’t make a lot of sense.
I read this for the HIV rep, but turned out disappointed. Even the daddy kink. It was meh. More like a switch without any discovery etc. I hate books that use BDSM elements wholly for the “title”: Daddy, Boy, Sub, Dom, etc… when it actually means so much more than that.

A MM romance novella which is the spin off from the 47-duology. It's a fast-paced short story with a big age gap (~26yrs) & Daddy/Boy relationship!
I'd been excited to see that Frank & Leif get their story told here, the beginning & HEA 💕. I'm biased but I loved it 😂. The narrator is good as he was in the duology.
We met Frank & Leif in the series, being friends of Kinsey & Benoni. I adored them there.
Frank (51) has love & lost 🥺. He's fit, generous, flirty. He's also HIV+, it's rare to see MCs with it so it was interesting. F makes a stern, caring Daddy 🤭.
Leif (25) is a sassy, sweet twink who also flirts a ton. L's got a OF channel, as hadn't found something he wants to do forever (or so he thinks!). He's also a good cook/Baker, I liked everyone appreciating him for it ☺️.
We've seen the chemistry between them in the duology. F had been cautious/worried, but L's cool. I was worried by TWs but damn, I'm glad F came just in time! Never get drunk around sus people guys.
We get to see their realisations, want, give in & take it! How L craves the domestic discipline, how F can be his perfect Daddy. Omg, "Princess" 😍. Their chemistry is sexy! I would've easily read a longer book with them but it's alright. I liked that they actually talk of their future, repercussions of age gap. Cute epilogue. Gotta love acceptance 🥰.

This one was okay. Based on the other two, I had an idea of what would happen in it. It was very similar, so you just had to change the two characters name and bam...you already know what happens.

Too short 😭 I needed more of Leaf and Frank and even though I know it is a short story, it was a bit rushed (too many things crammed into the smallest page number)

This was a quick hour and 45 minutes listen . Nora Phoenix and John Solo do it once again .
The Perfect Daddy at Fifty-One" is a beautifully crafted tale that delves deep into the themes of love, self-discovery, and the joys of finding one's true match later in life. Ever since I read Nora’s 47 duology I’ve been impatiently waiting for Leif and Frank’s story. They were both characters I came to love and I desperately wanted to see them together and happy, so I was beyond excited when Nora announced that their story would be featured in the Dirty Daddy anthology.
I’ve honestly lost count of the amount of times I’ve read this story and I just love it so much. The way their relationship developed felt very seamless and they were so open and honest with each other which I adored. Their dynamic was really hot and I wish that there was more of their story, because I wasn’t ready to let them go at the end. “Perfect Daddy at Fifty-One” contained everything I could have wanted for them and it was such a wholesome story.
Parts of the story overlaps with the 47 books, but from Frank and Leif’s PoV. It was very well written and the pacing was on point - I usually find that short stories feel rushed or that the pacing is off, but this one had a great balance. It mostly felt like a natural extension of the chemistry and attraction between them that was present in Ben and Kinsley’s story.
I think you will get the most out of this story if you have the background and some context from the 47 duology, but it definitely works on its own as well.

While 51 yo Frank is happy that his friends, Kinsey and Benoni, have found each other, he’s also wistful about his own love life which is currently non-existent. Frank is HIV+ and lost his partner of many years to the virus so he’s extra cautious about hooking up with people. Camboy Leif is his early 20s and he’s feeling adrift, since Ben stopped being his dom to take up with Kinsey. When Frank rescues an out of control Leif, both men realise that they need each other: Frank can discipline Leif and act as his daddy, while Leif can be his boy.
This sweet story slots into the Forty-Seven Duology series perfectly, it’s almost like an extended epilogue. Kinsey and Ben are such lovely guys and Frank and Leif are equally decent. Given this is a short (82 pp, 1.75 audio hrs), Frank’s backstory is brief but touching and he has a good bit of chemistry with Leif. I’m always going to prefer a longer book which gives the characters time to explore their backstories and the things they appreciate in each other, but this hit all the major story points, touched my heart, and kept me interested. 🎧 Veteran voice actor John Solo had exactly the right voice for Frank and he worked the emotions well.

Frank and Leif know each other through Kinsey and Ben. Since Ben has moved in with Kinsey, Leif is at a loose end with his need for domestic discipline. He is out of control. He hopes Frank will call him but Frank is wary of the age difference between them. When Frank sees Leif at a club, he realizes Leif is drunk. He goes to rescue Leif but loses track of him. When he does find Leif, he rescues Leif from a bad situation. Frank takes Leif home with him and they talk the next day. Will Frank give Leif what he needs?
I enjoyed this story. I like Frank a lot. He's a lot like Ben. Leif knows what he needs but he does not know where to get his needs met. I liked that he instinctively trusted Frank. The two of them are good together. Each gives the other what he needs.
I've enjoyed this series. I hate to see it end. I hope there may be more stories in the series.

June 3, 2024This was a tough to figure out how to rate and I'm still on the fence about what to do. Unfortunately, I thought the story was focused more on sex and Frank & Leif's Daddy/boy kink than it was on the actual building of their relationship which is really what I was so excited about.
In the end this story turned out to be not for me. I think I will leave it unrated.

John Solo did a great job narrating this book; the characters were brought to life, giving it an immersive experience.

Short, sweet audiobook of less than two hours. John Solo did his usual great job with the narration. The characters were interesting and the story seems to be a short possibly created after the previous books as a little bite of candy hotness reward to readers. TBH, I liked it better than the two full-length novels that preceded it. These characters seemed more suited to each other. In any event, it was a nice nightcap and, as Goldilocks says, just right.

A camboy and a silver fox. We’ve met both before and I’m so happy they got their story. A mutual crush almost derailed by a cautious Frank. But when Leif needs saving, Frank is defenseless, he needs to step in and be the caretaker he is. These two are so sweet and perfect for each other.

Super sweet!
I adore this story. Leif is it’s the sweetest and I really like domestic discipline. It’s kinda hot and s*xy and Frank is perfect for the feisty boy. Great little novella to compliment the first two books.

Nice short story about Frank a 51 year old nurse with HIV mourning the loss of his boyfriend and Lief a 25 year old cam boy in need of someone to keep him in line. The club scene was very scary and illustrated Lief’s self destruction.

Although it was short, I l9ve the follow-up with what happened between Frano and Leif...I loved the story of Ben and K8nsey so much, but I was interested in the sparks between the other two as well, it's a sweet short story

This was a short story. While both MCs were previously introduced in the duology, and the reader knew some of their background, this was just too short to convince me of a HEA. There was way too much to unpack imo and the length of the story did not help at all. And again, no more daddy/boy for me.

Brilliant
