As I start to learn the club's secrets and Carter’s I have to decide who I can trust.
Club Red may be a place of pleasure and desire, but when I discover the darker side of the club, I realize I have gotten in over my head.

Carter
I’ve never felt the kind of attraction I felt the night I saw Gemma in my club.
We both have secrets and to protect mine, I give her a contract.

A little of an age gap, but more 2 reluctant players where one is owner of club red and the other is the daughter in the first round of books. I was surprised the father didn’t have more of a freak out, it was there, but it could’ve taken a dark turn but stayed in line. There is one big plot hole BUT to be fair a series so hopefully covered in next book which yes there for it!

Elusive Dom by Kaci Rose is the First book in the Club Red: Chicago Series. This is the story of Gemma and Carter. Carter is an older man who owns the Club Red. In addition, he is and former military man where he has some issues from that time. Gemma has some past issues to but is working on moving forward. Gemman and her room mate Skye decide to do a girls night out at Club Red. This is how Carter and Gemma meet and the sparks fly. Enjoyed.

Gemma (h), still reeling from a breakup, finds herself at the exclusive Club Red with her roommate for a fun girls' night out. Little does she know that her encounter with Carter (H), the club's owner, will take her on a thrilling and sensual journey. Carter has secrets and offers Gemma a contract, stating the rules: no dates, no relationships, and no questions asked. Despite the contract, emotions start to blur the lines between them, and they both must confront their pasts and fears. As Gemma delves deeper into the secrets of Club Red, she realizes she may have gotten in over her head. Plenty of hot and steamy scenes with BDSM elements, emotional moments, and a touch of suspense. Scorching start to the Club Red: Chicago series - if you want Know and Summer's story, look for Daddy's Dare.

Read this ARC copy that was sent to me by Greys Promo.

Holy Cannoli this book is hot out the gate! I was blushing from 5% in. This was my first BDSM/Sex Club type of book and I think I am now in my Sex Club Era!

I loved Gemma, her willingness to try new things and let herself be open to Carter. I loved Carter and his protective alpha male ways. I was praying this book had a sequel coming but honestly it wraps up perfectly. I am invested and will be eagerly waiting for the next book to come out. This was the first book by Kaci Rose I have read and I am in love. Can not wait to read more.

Gemma's bad breakup with her ex has made her aware that she needs to explore what she wants. So off to Club Red she goes. It's there where she meets Carter, club owner (although she's unaware of this at first), dom extraordinaire, and man who's also been hurt by things (people) in his past. When he asks her if she plans on coming back to the club, it can be the start of an arrangement that's structured by a contract with no emotions. But what if feelings develop outside of that contract?

This is an entertaining BDSM read. It's a bit rushed so I didn't have time to really connect to either character, but their chemistry is hot, and has me interested in reading further installments of Club Red: Chicago now.

I don’t think I’ve read a book with BDSM scenes or conversations, but I think this was the perfect introduction. I thought it was great that the book frequently mentions consent, contracts, and the safety of people at Club Red. Also, anyone involved at the club respects the rules and is adamant about abiding by them, or else the membership is revoked. I think it’s great when a book can include good smut but still indicate the importance of safe sex. There was mention of dom and sub training for people new to the club and unfamiliar with the rules; overall, it felt like a safe space.

As for the romance, Gemma and Carter had instant chemistry, and while she was new to the scene, his ease and patience with her made her gravitate toward him and trust him freely. Carter was respectful, valued the rules and her safe words, and ensured that she was safe at the club and when she went home. There was never a concern for Gemma’s safety, and he valued her input for the contract to guarantee that she wanted to continue with it in their dom & sub-agreement. Despite being an Alpha male, he considered her opinion and modified it to meet her needs. If you read this book, you’ll have good smut and still be able to enjoy the romance because nothing is too extreme. Note that his love language is definitely acts of service, and he’s down bad for Gemma, so he’ll do anything for her.

I genuinely enjoyed this book and wish it had been a bit longer; that’s one of my only complaints. As a result of the length, some events felt rushed or necessary, and it could have held longer chapter time. There were also side plots left unresolved, but I assume they will be continued in the other side character books. Either way, I recommend this because it’s a quick read, and you’ll have fun.

I adore Kaci’s books. This is a novella, but it captured me attention and kept to the very end.
The book opens with Gemma and her roommate and friend, Skye, planning a girls night to an exclusive club. The kind of club that caters to a cliental with specific desires. One of the parts I appreciate the most, is her attention to consent. BDSM is all about Safe, Sane, Consensual. Yes, many people do not understand the dynamic, but for those who do, being clear on consent is important. Being clear on what someone who skirts consent, or abuses it looks like, is incredibly powerful and necessary. Best of all, Kaci does it without being preachy.

Carter and Gemma meet her first night. For Carter it’s an unexplainable attraction, so much so that he scenes with a new member and without a contract for the first time ever, he doesn’t ever involve himself in personal, emotionally intimate relationships, only ones through the club with a contract. For Gemma, nervous reservations aside, it is a chance to explore. When she realized she was more excited over her Dad’s engagement than her own, she needed to break it off, that something has been missing.

I think what I appreciate the most is Kaci’s way of letting us see their vulnerabilities and brokenness without having to spend 100,000 thousand words to do it. Carter and Gemma each have a moment where they come face to face with the thing that broke them, because of the nature of their relationship, the amount of trust required in it, they are able to share pieces of what happened to them. It’s this that sets the stage for the plot twist, tears, and dare I say it, but the HEA. (It’s Kaci of course there is a HEA).

It’s a feel good, hot, sexy, steamy look at how two people heal themselves, as individuals and as partners. It shows how we can’t live in a vacuum, we need to be open and present, we need people present in our lives, it’s how we heal, how we grow, how we love.

Welcome to Club Red!
No matter your fantasy we can make it happen. We specialise in the forbidden, cater to your wildest desires, and nothing is off limits.

An age gap BDSM romance as the newly single Gemma after reading some books and showing an interest in the lifestyle goes to Club Red with her flat mate Skye to explore if was for her. Pretty much the first man she meets is the mysterious Carter who she later finds out is one of the owners. Carter despite his reputation and the obvious age gap between them, is instantly intrigued by the aura of innocence surrounding Gemma and soon enters a contract with her, eager to begin her education.

Kaci Rose was a new to me author and from what I can gather several characters here will be known to regular readers including Gemma’s father and his new wife – now that must make for interesting dinner conversation, belonging to the same BDSM club as your dad especially when his wife is also your best friend!!! I didn’t feel being a new reader spoilt this book or any previous ones for me. With lots of steamy encounters between the hero and hero and an engaging plot involving possibly more than one threat to sabotage the club, the Club Red series got off to a flying start with Elusive Dom. Since the plot didn’t conclude with this book – don’t worry, no cliffhangers – I’m assuming this story will arc across the series. Next up is Skye’s story and I’m intrigued with the teaser during this epilogue. Who doesn’t love a great student/teacher romance

Elusive Dom delves into the depths of passion and vulnerability, leaving an indelible mark on the reader's heart. From the moment Carter's eyes meet Gemma's in his club, an unspoken connection is forged, drawing them together for a single unforgettable night. However, their desires run deeper, and as Carter proposes a Dom-sub contract, their relationship takes on a profound meaning that surpasses their initial attraction.

What sets Elusive Dom apart is the gradual unravelling of Carter and Gemma's bond, pulling readers into their intimate journey. With each passing moment, the layers of their connection are unveiled, exposing a rare and beautiful vulnerability that is shared only between them. They fearlessly open up, allowing trust and emotional intimacy to blossom. The genuineness with which they reveal their pasts and deepest fears to one another creates a sacred space where their souls intertwine.

The presence of their individual tragic pasts adds a poignant dimension to their story, touching the deepest recesses of the heart. Both Carter and Gemma bear scars that run deep, and it is through their shared experiences of pain that they find solace in one another's arms. Watching them navigate their wounds while tenderly caring for each other is nothing short of breathtaking. The resilience they display and the trust they build form the foundation of their extraordinary bond.

Elusive Dom although it's initially set in a BDSM club environment and does dip back in there throughtout is more about the relationship outside of the confines of the club. Gemma's roommate takes her to the Red Club to get over breaking up with her boyfriend. There Gemma meets Carter, one of the club owners and what follows is a steamy couple of days.

The connection between Gemma and Carter is really strong, with off the charts chemistry. Carter asks Gemma to be his sub and they sign a contract, which details how their relationship will work. However, right from the start it's clear that they both want more than just a contract.

Both Gemma and Carter have pasts that won't go away and makes them both reluctant to form a real relationship. The journey that Gemma and Carter take is an emotional one, with both Gemma and Carter showing their vulnerbilities.

This is a good read and i did enjoy it, however I found it strange and somewhat uncomfortable that Gemma's father went to the Red Club which led to him marrying Gemma's best friend Summer. Then when Gemma is going to club it's agreed Gemma, her father and Summer will not be at the club at the same times. This dad and daughter knowledge of each others proclivity for BDSM and The Red Club just didn't sit right with me. It goes way past the line of what a parent and child should know about each other.

Thank you Kaci Rose and Grey's Promotions for this ARC!

I was definitely curious when I saw this book and was excited to read it! This is a dom/sub book that centers around Gemma and Carter. Gemma recently ended her engagement to her ex and to take her mind off of things, her best friend suggests they go to Club Red; an exclusive sex club owned by our MMC Carter.

Carter doesn't typically take interest in those who come and go in his club but he's immediately drawn to Gemma and the two share a night together. Wanting more, Carter proposes a contract to be Gemma's Dom. The more time the two spend together, you see just how much their relationship goes beyond what initially drew them together. They share with each other more than they have with anyone else and I love how vulnerable they are with each other. There's something about an MC with a tragic past that always does something for me and these two characters both have scars of their own and I loved watching them trust and take care of each other.

This is the first book that I've read by this author and I definitely wanna read more, especially the next book of the series! There's definitely a major part of the plot that was left unanswered but I'm assuming it continues into the next book! I'd rec this book to anyone that wants a quick and sexy read!

“I figure if I’m going to scare her off, now would be the time to do it.”

This is a good book that could have been better. I liked the premise and the way it started. Cater seemed very interesting and Gemma had promise. Part of the problem with the book was there wasn’t the character development needed to really connect with them. There were also some real contradictions. For someone who had such a history of non-relationships and getting involved, I think Carter changed too quickly. There was also so much emphasis on getting to know all the secondary characters that it got a little confusing. I almost felt like I was reading a book mid-series and not the first one. The writing itself was not as emotional as it should have been, especially since it dealt with some pretty heavy stuff. There is a significant plot line that was important enough that several chapters were from the pov of Agent X but then it was completely abandoned with no reason why. I’m assuming it’s going to be an ongoing series sub-plot but it seemed strange the way it was introduced and then ignored. The epilogue was nice but I would have preferred more of a conclusion of Cater and Gemma’s story and less of a plug for the next book. It left me slightly incomplete. Still, I think the series has promise and will probably read the next book. Hopefully it will be a little more satisfying.

Elusive Dom is Ms. Rose's first book in her Club Rad Chicago series and boy it is a hot one. Ms. Rose delivers a strangers-to-lovers, age-gap, BDSM romance that is a 10/5 on the spicy scale. Gemma is a woman who is trying new things because her life has just gone through a huge change. Her friend is a member of an exclusive BSDM club and she joins her one night. Not sure what to expect and upon meeting Carter, a sexy and distinguished man, she lets all her inhibitions out. The next thing she knows is that she wants more of what Carter is offering. Finding out that he is one of the owners just adds to the intrigue of everything. There is a suspense side to things as someone has been leaking info about the club and Carter and his business associates need to find out where the leak is. What surprised me is that Gemma's best friend married her father and they are also members of the club.
I loved the romance that developed between Carter and Gemma. Yes, what they did at the club had me needing a cold shower but how Carter went from never wanting a relationship without a contract to needing Gemma in his life and ripping up the contract. The two of them are perfect for one another.
I recommend grabbing this spicy romance and enjoy Gemma and Carter's hot romance.

I have to say I found it kind of fascinating to consider a relationship between two people who met at a sex club where the participants are obviously intimate physically, but where it would seem hard to form a close connection due to the secrecy that plays such a big role in this setting. Despite her newness to the BDSM world, I was rather surprised at how easily Gemma accepted everything without hesitation. Even when Carter handcuffs her to the bed on the very first night, she doesn’t even flinch; though aside from the handcuffs, the sex was pretty run-of-the-mill. Don’t get me wrong, it definitely heats up from there, although I wasn’t a big fan of the sharing with random men at the club. While I felt this only touched on the dom/sub theme, it was satisfying to see both characters opening up to each other and their blossoming relationship. I loved Carter’s protective streak and how Gemma helped heal his scars (literally). With a bit of a side story about tensions at the club that will obviously carry through the series, I recommend this book wholeheartedly, even if you’re not really into this lifestyle, it’s a nice way to ease you in!

Pushing Their Boundaries For Love -
When Gemma accepted her friend’s offer to accompany her to Club Red, she only intended to sit back and watch, but the moment Carter approached her and she stared into his eyes, she knew she would do anything he asked of her. Whilst she was uneasy about participating, she soon found herself enjoying the best pleasurable encounter that had ever happened to her. Even though Carter and Gemma agreed to be in a contractual relationship, spending time together heightened their attraction towards each other.

However, Carter became really overprotective of Gemma when she was in trouble, which made him decide to explore the possibility of a relationship outside of the contract. Unfortunately, their growing relationship hit a hurdle when Carter was injured in a car accident, which brought up both of traumatic pasts and nearly cost them their happily ever after.

As luck would have their friends rallied around them and helped them realise they were meant to be together, which gave them the courage to fight for their forever happiness together.

tropes:

dom/sub
billionaire romance

you know when you read a book and feel like an empty hole inside of you and you have no idea whether it is because you finished a book or if it's because the book lacked something? cause that is what i felt after finishing this one. don't get me wrong, it was a really good read okay? the spice scenes were hot but i felt that everything was happening so freaking fast.

when i read the summary and saw this was about a sex club i immediately said sign me the fuck up. this is a dom/sub bdsm book that centers around gemma who had just ended her engagement, her best friend takes her to club red, an exclusive sex club owned by carter (mmc)

carter is described as a very private and kinda secluded person, rarely seen around the club, who also rarely is seen with a sub, buuuuut he meets gemma and he immediately gets drawn to her. her relationship felt so weird and too fast paced for my liking. i'm not a huge fan of insta love and this book is infested with it. carter was too cute to be true, he had emotional scars (a very traumatic past that i feel should've had way more spotlight cause #mentalhealthrepresentation) and i expected him to be more like i don’t want to fall in love with you but you are my soft spot kinda guy. idk that's just me. i like my book men rough and mean.

idk it was not my fav, i honestly had high hopes and i expected the book to be different. BUT i did manage to eat that mf book up bc mr carter is a feral man and i love feral men!!!!!!!!!! age gap? yummy. billionaire???? YUMMY LICKING MY FINGERS

Tropes: Age Gap; BDSM (dom/sub); contract relationship

Gemma just called off her engagement to her fiance and her best friend wants to help her get out and get through it so she takes her to club red for the night where she meets this handsome mysterious man named carter who makes her feel things she's never felt before in that one night.

this was a new to me author and I was literally so excited for it because I love a good s3x club book but the flow of this one just didn't work for me all the way. It had everything... HOT scenes, plot, and good chemistry but the flow was all off the first part was very spice heavy and then the second part was very plot heavy but still kinda never got to the point (It's giving interconnected plot within the character series) and i would of loved some more character development... BUT all and all it was a solid short read and I 100% will be reading the second book because student/teacher? SIGN ME ALL THE WAY UP!

I received an ARC of this. My review is my honest opinion.

The first thing I loved about this is how consent and being safe was repeated throughout the book. This was a great introduction to BDSM and Club Red seemed like a really safe space.

The first half of the book is very spicy! Whereas the second half eases up a little bit to favour more plot. I loved Carter! He was the right blend of spice and nice 😉

I do feel that this could have been a bit longer to explore certain things a bit more as I was left wanting to know more.

Carter and Gemma’s relationship progressed really quickly and I think there could have been a bit more build up.

I also feel like we didn’t get a conclusion on the threat to the club, although I’m hoping that is carried on in the next book.

Overall a quick fun read and I’m looking forward to the next one!

This was such a sweet little romance, don’t get me wrong Gemma & Carter have their hardships; both of them have things from the past that they are working on overcoming and I loved following them on their journey to trusting each other.

It starts with Gemma being convinced to go to Club Red by her friend after she called off her engagement, and I think she is forever in Skye’s debt for that because Carter was one fine man! I’ll admit this isn’t as high spice as I usually read, it does have a kind of high focus on consensual sharing in their relationship, but it was still always Carter in control which gives me tummy flutters, throw in his occasional “good girl,” add in his love for aftercare and in full on swooning 😍😍

Towards the end I was nearly it tears, I wasn’t ready for what happened, it brought both their fears to the surface and my heart ached for both of them ❤️‍🩹

A great start to the new Club Red Chicago series. Gemma is introduced to Club Red by her friend. When she meets Carter she doesn’t know who he is or what his connection is to the club. Carter is intrigued by Gemma and sets up his usual contract to protect not only Gemma but himself as well. Soon the two are spending more time together then originally agreeing to. Their chemistry is hot and the connection they take time to foster is endearing. Carter takes his role of protector to new heights and Gemma shows Carter that he’s much more then the scars he tries to hide behind. An engaging story that had me hooked from the start. There was suspense and some intrigue that will weave it’s way trough all the books in this series. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first in a new series and this is Carter and Gemma’s story. Gemma’s friend takes her to a BDSM club, where she just wants to have fun, and she meets Carter, who is one of the owners, and what was just meant for one night turns into more. Carter wants Gemma as his sub, and they sign a contract detailing their relationship. I loo forward to reading the next book in tis incredible series. This is a well written story which has action, emotions, secrets, trust, family, friendships, romance, witty banter, and twists, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, and steamy addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

[arc review]

this book was just meh for me. i feel like i kept expecting more and then not getting it, which led to disappointment.

gemma is still healing from a previous breakup, but her best friend skye, drags her to club red anyway, where she meets carter. from there, they enter a contracted dom/sub relationship which eventually turns into more. i loved that kaci included the importance of consent and practices of safe sex. i think i was expecting more in terms of club red itself, since it is a bdsm sex club, but i think since gemma is a first time sub, her experiences are just fine.

the writing style was not my favorite, though i did find it improving over the course of the book. at times, it felt very essay-like.

After her engagement ended Gemma finds herself at Club Red where she has the opportunity to explore what she wants when it comes to physical intimacy. It is there where Carter comes into her life however keeping to the terms of the contract may be the biggest challenge of all.

Carter has learnt the hard way what happens when he doesn’t follow the stringent restrictions he has imposed on himself when it comes to his lifestyle. The attraction he has for Gemma is unlike anything he has felt before and he must decide if the reward of being with her is worth the risk.

The chemistry between them was never in question and I enjoyed seeing them find what was missing in both their lives in each other.

Fabulous Club Red Romance!!

Gemma is moving on from her ex-fiance. Her roommate Skye sponsors her at the club she attends. Ironically Gemma’s best friend Summer married Sky’s father, and they are both members too. Steps are taken to not go on the same night.

Carter keeps his life very private and doesn’t scene without a contract. Until he sees Gemma. He is working on a contract, and texts and smiles in the meantime making his friends wonder what he is up to as he is normally quite stoic.

Insights into the lifestyle, business challenges, growing relationships, friends and family all combine into a delicious, romantic story.

Exclusive Dom is a hot read that is an excellent start to a new series written by Kaci Rose! Rose’s writing style had me flying through the pages of this book, before I knew it I was one the last page :( I would have loved for their to be a bit more show than tell in this book. Overall, I loved how quickly Carter and Gemma were drawn to each other and how their dynamic played out. I would love to hear more about the rest of the characters stories (Pink, Knox and Summer, Skye, and all of founders of Club Red). This is only book one and I can already tell that this series has me hooked and waiting for the next installment!

This book was steamy, hot, and definitely intriguing. I found it very hard to look away until the very last page.

Gemma and Carter connected very quickly, and it was super intense.

I loved it and know there is more to come, and I just can't wait. Kaci is a talented author, and I have loved reading about her broody mountain men and their women, so I jumped into this, knowing she would be giving us a fantastic Dom/Sub book. I was right. Carter and Gemma's story wasn't all about that it had heart and a deeper emotional side to it.

I am looking forward to the next book from Skye and Gage.
That will definitely be exciting!

3.5 stars. I liked it but did not love it. It was my first book by Kaci Rose and I am looking forward to reading more in this series. Gemma has had a break up and goes to Club Red with her bestie. She is curious in the BDSM lifestyle and meets a man there who immediately breaks some of his rules to be with her. Carter turns out to own the club and he resolves some of his issues with his relationship with Gemma and she does the same. It is a very quick read and has some very hot scenes. I think I just never got overly invested in the story and I am not sure why but I will read the next in the series.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
