Elf World
I was just a nerd in my world, for goodness’ sake. A nobody just trying to graduate college so I could go on and live a boring life like everyone else.
But when a confrontation with an old childhood bully went about as bad as it can go, at the last second I was suddenly teleported to a different world.
And not just any world, but a fantasy elf world like nothing I’ve ever seen.
Neia is the sweetest, most beautiful elf I’ve ever met. Heck, she’s the only elf I’ve ever met, but the problem is that she believes I’m something I’m not. The spell she cast was supposed to bring a great hero to her village to help fight off the olgoks, a race of monsters who have terrorized the elves for years.
But the spell didn’t bring them a hero…
It brought me…
And now all I’m trying to do is find a way back home.
But when the Village Elder gets taken prisoner, I’ll have to make a choice. Should I still try to go back to my world, back to my boring life with nothing to look forward to? Or do I stay in the elf world and help my new friends in their time of need?
Back home I’m a nobody, but maybe here I have a chance to be something more.
this book contains detailed adult activities and unconventional relationships.

Typical portal story
Alternate universe, magic, elves and fantastic critters, harem adult situations
First, the MC is almost relentless with the sarcasm for the first two-thirds of the book. For a D&D and computer gamer, the MC expects monsters to act as portrayed by TSR, and unsurprisingly, they behave that way. Okay. Others might be okay with the cutting remarks, but I wasn't impressed.
Turns out the elves are bigots and rather insular, not only to our human MC, but to other elf sub races as well.
The wood elves are expert with bows and melee fighting, but are easily outwitted by a simple diversion, and no one bothered with putting up a palisade to protect the village after how many years of fighting? More, all the important places to travel are easily reached by walking a couple of days. Mines and swamps only take a couple of hours to traverse -- as in a computer game. There supposedly more wood elf villages, but no others are mentioned.
The fight at the end, which the MC was losing, suddenly reversed, came out of nowhere. There was little group cohesion until nearly the end. Whenever the MC suddenly had weapon skills, he should at least been curious. Nope. When he was healed, he was naked and given a shirt and pants. Footwear wasn't mentioned. Repeatedly.
Do they even have a village to return to? The evil oglocks ate bags of wood elf mush.
Editing was mostly good, though could stand some work. Changes in speaker or topic should trigger a new paragraph but instead were merged, burying the impact in scene after scene.
I wanted to like this, but this didn't come across as a viable world (and came across as a small county), mixed in with inexplicable events or excessive snark. Unanswered questions would have been fine (leading to sequels), but the MC didn't even bother asking them. I'm being generous with 4 stars.

Usual isekai story about a nerd summoned to an elven world
The nerd gets stabbed before being transported to an elven world as a savior called the Arkala. Of course he has no magic and gets in trouble, though he suddenly has martial skills from nowhere, with no training. He's sent on a mission through the forrest with some food, weapons and a map, but no woodcraft, or idea of whats benign or dangerous. He just staggers from dangerous situation to dangerous situation, relying on luck to get him and his party through. He certainly has neither skills nor a plan yet he jumps into danger without thought repeatedly. Of course his two companions jump his bones along the way.
Finally, after winning combat via a deus ex machina the book ends in a bizzare revelation thats just weak. The best thing about this book is the cover art.

Some of the most cringey, cheesy writing I've read in some time. I imagine some animes are written like this. Dude keeps saying how normal he is then acts and talks like he thinks he's an invincible superhero, repeatedly and desparately trying to throw his life away at every opportunity.
He's a bumbling, clumsy, awkward moron and his preferred method of seducing women is to open his mouth wide and alternate staring between their breasts, asses and vaginas. Because that's not creepy and turns women on right?
He gains elite fighting skills and good athleticism but he thinks nothing of it. So many things make no sense.
Stick with the elf hotties and tone down the eye-roll inducing bullshit and stupidity and this would be a good series.

MC is a blushing schoolgirl with no spine who only lives because the author decided he does. He has almost no likable qualities and certainly no qualities women go for. It's not so much what he does or what he is capable of, but unfortunately we are subjected to his inner monologue about how much of a wimp he is and how horny he is. It is absolutely insufferable. Look, I get these harem books are about a man getting with multiple women, but one has to be able to buy that women will want him. His personality just isn't it. Also he is an absolute moron. Pro-tip, stop writing MCs to be so damn stupid. Dude is babbling constantly, incapable of forming thoughts to words, is an utter simp at heart. I just can't get behind it. The dude says he is nothing special all the time, and he isn't wrong but not for his unearned ability, it is his attitude. He is a loser. Dude wants to go home to a place where he was just murdered (or would have been save for the deus ex machina {which will be a theme} saving him and sending him to another world) for a slight done to someone else who was a bully in high school after being tricked by that bully's girlfriend. Then once he is basically told to fuck off and that he has to go home (because they banish him for being human), he ends up wanting to stay after realizing that he is turning down the one thing that any gamer would want... Actually being in a world with magic, elves, etc...
Along the way in a world he doesn't know he makes a lot of really stupid mistakes that he ought to know better than to do, but does anyways and then continues to make more very similar mistakes after acknowledging his situation. In a world he doesn't know, he flirts with a lizard-type creature, sniffs an unknown plant, is caught without his weapon next to him more than once. It just doesn't seem like he takes his situation all that seriously.
Oh and he apologizes when he shouldn't and forgives grave slights and tells the other people they have nothing to apologize for. The biggest one I have is the elder of the elf village he is in banishing him just for being human after fighting for them and in spite of their artifact choosing him. And he apologizes to Isaac saying he wishes it could be different. Um... Aren't you in charge? Don't you believe in this magic artifact choosing the right person? Make it make sense. Then there's banishing him knowing he isn't from that world into a wilderness and almost certain death with a bow, some arrows, a machete, and a bedroll and food (only because the elder's daughter gave him food). Again, this dude only survives because the author says he does.
