My wife and I read this book together. We wanted to have just a brief overview of Australia. We have been doing genealogy and Kristy has some relatives which immigrated there from England. One of the last names was "Cant." When I saw pictures in this book of the beaches, I was amazed how beautiful they were. I have always been interested in the pouched animals like kangaroos or koalas. I have seen quite a few in zoos. My wife and I also saw some primitive mammals that lay eggs which live in Australia. They are called platypuses. We saw two of them in the San Diego Zoo a few years ago. Platypuses are very rare and hard to keep in captivity. The ones we saw were touted as the only platypuses in the Western Hemisphere. We were very lucky to have seen them. The aborigines are an interesting group. The bigger cities like Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, and Brisbane look interesting. Thanks for the "GOODREAD."
