i finally got around to reading this full script after doing a scene from it in class last year! i really love how the dialogue is written it just feels so real and natural and like it would flow so nicely for the actors to perform. i want to play lauren so bad please someone cast me in your production of this play. there’s some really awesome monologues in this show too!! i might steal and try out using the one where charlie confesses his feelings post-song.

The way I would describe it is meh. It isn't necessarily bad, but it felt like it ended ubruptly and if I had not had a little background before hand I would have been lost as to what was happening. It felt a little week just in general. There were some cute parts though.

This was an interesting read. It had a subject matter of which I was surprised to see and I throughly enjoyed the way it told the story it was trying to tell!

Liz Flahive brings a nuance and delicacy to a heavy and extremely relevant subject matter. Her naturalistic dialogue builds an extremely relatable family dynamic and charm that has you rooting for every character in the play, despite their flaws.
