This book was very encouraging and grounding for me whenever I’d start to get off track in my relationship with Jesus. I could trust each chapter to be biblically centered and full of seemingly “duh” truths that I actually really needed to hear.

While the words are simple the impact is profound. This book pushed me to to look to God to be my safe place. We may all know this to be true but often seek out security or completion in many other things.

The thing that stood out most to me is that when we live God’s way we are able to enter into many of his promises. He has a system on how to do life and it’s only within this system are we truly safe and able to prosper. His system is the best way, He knows what’s best and desires the best for us.

God has a way of preparing us for everything that comes in our lives. While on a flight to Colorado, I enjoyed an unexpected conversation with a fellow christian. Near the end of our flight, I was handed this book. Personally, I saw no need for the book, but I knew that God did and it would be for an appointed time.

Two months to the day, the appointed time arrived; God was at work. This book found me at the point of need.

After reading this book, I was renewed by the fact that "no matter what the enemy tries to tell you, Christ is God of the mountains and God of the valleys. He has not stopped being God because you happen to be in a valley. He is the God of glory, as seen in His power and miracles. In the valleys, He reveals Himself as faithful, loyally committed to us in difficulties and distresses. In and through all things, He is our God."

When you find yourself between a rock and a hard place, God has a place of shelter - a dwelling place. "The stronghold of God is the shelter of God" This book will help you to discover it.

This is such amazing and important book for Christian’s to read! I needed this book so much in the season that I am in. How quickly I forget that my stronghold and fortress is Christ and l am able to run to Him, my protection. But more importantly, He, my stronghold, lives in me and me in Him. My protection and strength lives in me!

I strongly encourage you to buy the physical book and read it and then read it again. Also, underline and circle important parts, write in the margins and then give it to a friend to read. We received this book from someone and their notes in the margins were so encouraging. I will read it again and pass it on to someone else.

The chapters are good for one a day reading and then taking time to consider what's been presented. Great reminders and plenty of challenges to move my heart in the right direction toward God and seeking His presence.

When I first came to the Lord I had a struggle like no other trying to maintain myself, and this book taught me that I needed to release all that power unto God and give him the dominion over me, this book is truly one the best books I have ever read, I keep it in my purse along with the other book he wrote. I believe he is an extrodinary writer and minister of God..Loved It.

If you are a Christian and want to draw closer to God, then I recommend this book. It's short scripture fulled pages, along with the authors experiences and explanations hit my heart. I would read it again, but it is my daughter's book and she is taking it back to college because her friend wants to read it too. I would buy this for a gift.

I was instantly drawn to the title of this book! This book isn't about about the 'Stronghold' of sin, the devil, etc... this is about being in the Stronghold of God. The strong arms of God holding you firmly in His will is the most amazing place to be, and this book describes it beautifully!
