It was the golden âge. All the stars was alive. Leonard all photographied them. The most famous, Dexter Gordon, the pitcure with the smoke. But there is Ella, Sarah, the Duke, Miles...

The more moving, that of Chet Baker. He appears so much badly with the ties. A so young person, so immature. Richard Avedon photographed him little before his death. The face is devastated, drug, alcohol.

I advice you to listen to his last record. In Germany, there is some great jazz orchestra, memory of US occupation. Baker record his last CD with one of them for label ENJA (My favourite songs) The session was epouvantable. Baker disappeared. He sold his trumpet for drug. The producer sought him in the hollow and repurchased his trumpet. He died a few weeks after the session.

Listen to my funny Valentine, It is a tearing beauty.
