I absolutely LOVE the writing style of Jaimey Grant! Her books are story-driven while still allowing for rich, in-depth character development.

In "Redemption" we find a twist in the usual regency storyline. The hero, Dare Prestwich, although deeply in love with the heroine, Lady Jenny, doesn't have the backbone to fight for her. Instead, he repeatedly runs away, leaving Jenny to clean up the messes and live with the consequences. My heart ached for this poor heroine as she is fed to the vultures. Her strength and determination make the reader fall in love with her. Not so Dare. I just couldn't justify his cowardly behavior even with the excuse of pride. His character needed to do a whole lot more groveling before he deserved his happy ending IMHO (that's my only complaint with the entire book!) Even so, the total joy of the journey was enough to keep one glued to the pages, so much so that I actually set a new record for staying up reading - 4:00 a.m.!!! I just couldn't sleep until I knew Jenny would be all right! That is nothing short of 5 stars in anyones book!

Redemption is a wonderfully woven tale capturing the Regency period magnificently adhering
to all the rules and scandals of its time.

The classic tale of two people falling in love with exciting twists throughout the story where pride becomes
a big contender in the lives of the hero and heroine.

Get ready for an emotional roller coaster when opening this book.

Added bonuses are the character appearances from Betrayal (another of Jaimey's outstanding works),
and the twin aspect.

It took me a few weeks to find the time to sit down and give my full attention to this e-book, but when I did, I finished Redemption in one afternoon! Jaimey Grant has once again provided her readers with a captivating story - one of love, intrigue, scandal, and of course, redemption. As in Spellbound, it was the characters that hooked me from the first few pages. Darius with his disdain for the expectations of Society, his twin Miles who always does what is proper, Jenny who yearns to be herself despite what is expected of “the gentler sex”, and her twin Gwen do battle with their innermost desires, former mistakes, family expectations, and their strong senses of pride and honor as they discover their true feelings for themselves and for each other. And as in all battles - whether of the heart, head, or person - there are injuries. But there are small victories along the way, and as Ms. Grant promised, the book does have a happy ending – just expect a few tears too.

Redemption is a beautifully entwined story crafted by none other than the gifted Jaimey Grant. Like all her stories, this, too, is set in regency England with the rules and scandals of the time. Here, two people meet, fall in love, employ the scandal of the year, and allow their pride to nearly ruin their love.
This book made me smile one minute and put me near tears the next. The pain and heartache the characters put themselves through was so real I couldn’t help but endure it with them. Ms. Grant has masterfully woven a story of real, everyday occurrences, into a setting where such occurrences could ruin one’s very life.
Of course, with a title such as Redemption, one must know that there is hope. Hope that love will conquer pride. And so, Ms. Grant has cleverly displayed her talents in a heart warming, enthralling adventure of pride, heartache, and love – a love that all women hope for. A love beyond time.

I got this ebook free during a Smashwords publicity thing. I had really high expectations. I was disappointed. I loved the story and most of the writing. But many had touted this as very clean and in my opinion, it wasn't. I understand that a particular scene had to take place for the story to work. And it wouldn't take much editing for it to be completely clean. But I still felt like I had rolled through mud after reading a particular chapter that really could have just been alluded to and not described. Too bad. I don't think I can trust this author's definition of clean, so I won't read any more of her books.

Miles and Darius (Dare) Prestwich are twins, sons of gentry if not title. Lady Guinevere (Gwen) and Lady Genevieve (Jenny) are twins, daughters of a Duke. Miles loves Gwen and the feeling is mutual even if they have not declared it to each other yet. Dare and Jenny fall into lust. Suddenly Jenny is no longer a virgin and Dare runs away. When Jenny discovers she’s pregnant, Miles steps in yet again to clean up his brother’s mess. But will that really solve anything?

Ok, I have no idea how to start with this historical romance. The good part is it is very well-written with great characters. Except for Dare. I cannot express how much I dislike this guy. A selfish immature asshole, he does whatever he wants whenever he wants with no thought for anyone but himself. Everything is a joke to him and he takes nothing seriously. He thoughtlessly creates chaos wherever he goes and it matters not to him who he disrupts or hurts in the process. He had no redeemable qualities in my eyes and the fact he uses charm to manipulate his way out of everything is beyond annoying. I would have loved this story if he wasn’t in it. But without him there is no story. If he had gained some humility he would have been much more likeable. Unfortunately, though his thoughts from his POV reveal he believes he is sorry for the messes he creates, his actions prove loud and clear he isn’t. Actions speak louder than words. I think Jenny is an idiot to love him, but you can’t help who you love.

So…if you are more flexible and forgiving than I am then Dare and this story will be fantastic for you.

Jaimey Grant’s Redemption thrills the emotions. Her main character grabbed my interest from the first page. Dare, Darius Prestwich, is a rogue with an almost invisible honorable streak. The heroine, Lady Genevieve Northwicke, or Jenny, was not as colorful, but she caught my interest and held it. Above all she appears to be a good fit for Dare. Both characters made some choices that surprised and shocked me. It took me a while to process some of the off-page behavior. I was forewarned, though, that Ms. Grant’s fiction tends toward the rougher side of Regency fare.

The plot moved like a runaway phaeton, sweeping the reader along behind barely controlled horseflesh. Don’t expect much opportunity to observe the scenery. I never lost interest as I eagerly plunged onward. I particularly enjoyed the supporting cast and the biting and quick dialogue that filled the novel’s pages. All the characters and their interactions made me eager to meet them again. Also, Grant’s descriptions delighted me. I found myself highlighting sentences just so I could revisit my favorites again.

Overall, Redemption is an exciting and engaging read. I enjoyed it and I am looking forward to reading my next acquisition by her, Deception.

Redemption is about twin brothers who fall in love with twin sisters. Yeah, I know, it's been done. :o)

This story is about Darius and Miles Prestwich and Genevieve (Jenny) and Guinevere (Gwen) Northwicke, but tends to focus mainly on Darius & Jenny. Now, Darius & Miles are cousins of Adam Prestwich from Betrayal ; Jenny & Gwen are sisters of Adam's best friend, Connor. The four protaganists have actually known each other for a while when the story opens. Well, Miles has known Jenny & Gwen for a while. Darius has been gone for many years. He meets Jenny and is immediately intrigued by a beauty who reads Greek in private and acts stupid in public. Their interaction is sometimes amusing and sometimes annoyed, but always interesting.

Things happen that lead to Darius' flight from London, making all readers hate him, I'm sure. I assure you, this book does have a Happily-Ever-After but there is also some idiotic pride and heart-wrenching sadness.

"Redemption" is one of Jaimey Grant's earlier works. In this tale, twins Miles and Darius fall in love with twins Jenny and Gwen. While this may seem a trifle cliched, Grant handles the matter deftly and has some unusual twists thrown into the mix. Miles and Dare are the sons of a gentleman while Jenny and Gwen are the daughters of a duke; therein lies the first problem. The second problem is Dare's reputation as a rakehell.

As always, Grant's book is rich with Regency period detail about manners and mores, attire, furniture -- you name it. The story is well-written.

Unfortunately, I had a hard time connecting with either of the purported heroines, whom I found myself describing as conniving. Others may not see them that way. By the same token, I found Dare a rather refreshing change from the standard issue Regency romance heroes.

I think that Regency readers, and those who like a clean romance novel, will find a great deal to enjoy here.

Fun, fast, romantic read. I polished it off in no time, anxious to find the happily ever after I wanted so badly for these characters.

There are some sexual scenes, groping and lust. One sexual encounter that isn't described in detail, out of wedlock, which ends in a pregnancy.

There are several uses of hell, damn and bastard.

I loved this book!! This is one of my favorites of this series and I couldn't put it down!! I loved Adam and Bri!! I absolutely loved Jenny and Darius!! I was pulling for those two from the beginning and felt completely satisfied with the ending. I even fell in love with Miles and of course Gwen. I will definitely be reading this series agai!!

Well, it was not a bad book. But it seems confused and there is a lot of suffering. The hero is unreal: in one side he is almost a pirate; in other, he acts like a coward, obeying the orders of the heroine`s father, the duke. I think that a man known was rogue, hardly would obey someone.

Jamie's writing is entertaining and keeps me hanging on to the last minute, though she does push the limits of what I would consider clean. Conner is still my favorite character, even though in this story he goes over the top trying to protect his sister.

I was so disappointed! I quit reading in chapter 8. I was disgusted with the characters' morals and it didn't fit the clean romance category any more. I liked the characters I had met in the previous books and that made me even sadder.
