OS baru Ren membuat Yoh dan kawan-kawan melakukan latihan khusus. Ren dan Chocolove dikalahkan anggota Myou-ou yang lain. Horohoro yang terdesak pun memiliki OS baru...
Hiroyuki Takei (武井宏之 Takei Hiroyuki) is a Japanese manga artist, best known as the creator of the manga and anime Shaman King. His brother, Hirofumi Takei (武井宏文) is also a manga-ka.
The team is still growing, and we are learning some more information about our team members. Let's see how it goes forward, so let's Keep on Reading.
I have always loved comics, and I can and I have. I love comics to bits, may the comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more. You should also read what you love, and I hope you will always love them. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics, Diamond Comics, or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on international and classic comics and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I just want to Keep on Reading.
What Providence! Getting back into reading Shaman King at work earlier this week, I was moved to look for the Yoh and Hao figures that came out in 2019 but hesitated a bit only to be greeted this morning with a re-release of both, available for preorder. So this is the power of the Great Spirit!
The battle between Team The Ren and the Gandhara Myooh team escalated last chapter with the introduction of Jackson's Fudo Myooh, an important diety in Japanese Shingon Buddhism (which I know from several Eastern religion classes in college for my "Philosophy" minor that really should have been a "Religious Studies" minor, but whatever) who doesn't seem to matter much in the context of this manga, which overall doesn't have a singular religious leaning. The significance is that all Myooh team members can nullify opponents' furyoku, and so Fudo Myooh uses his classic sword to cut his foes' spirits. But this is hardly a big deal, as Fudo Myooh's assault is partly just a distraction so the third guy's Buddha can shoot an arrow at Chocolove, having already previously disabled Ren, leaving Horohoro to take care of both standing enemies.
For ages, Horohoro has been the butt of several jokes for being the weakest member of Yoh's crew. Aside from the business with the bear some volumes back, we've not seen much of Horohoro's true self. Hao, with his psychic power, informs Luchist of Horohoro's true name: Usui Horokeu, named after the extinct Hokkaido wolf revered by the Ainu peoples of Japan. Hao mentions some grief holding Horohoro's true power away from himself, and it appears the apparent deaths of Ren and Chocolove allow Horohoro to transform Kororo into a new armor-type O.S. capable of obliterating large chunks of the Gandhara Buddhas.
I don't recall if I've written about this element of Shaman King's power system, but I quite enjoy the ability characters show to whittle away their enemies' spirit power by just constantly destroying their O.S. It's like some kind of JRPG Summon Magic. You need to use energy to summon your spirit into an Oversoul form, and you cannot simply recharge when the O.S. is broken. Horohoro is able to "win" against Gandhara by destroying their Oversouls, never damaging the humans in the process. There is thus a huge contrast when we later see the mallgoth girl gang from Hao's party flat-out murder the old witches. Gandhara preach nonviolence, and so cut through their foes' furyoku at the cost of maybe actually causing physical injury. Yoh and his friends fight because they have to, but they don't kill. Horohoro is able to get angry as fuck and end the fight against Gandhara without touching the human shamans at all. An interesting extension from the Stands of JoJo, whose bodies are directly linked to their users, making Shaman King a wee bit more distinct than otherwise appearing like Goku's Bizarre Adventure or something (combining Dragon Ball with JJBA).
There is foreshadowing for the "Five Elemental Warriors," the identities of whom I just spoiled for myself by accident when browsing the Shaman King Wiki....
The Sphinx spirit almost spooked me a bit when it teleported in front of Marco's car.

The reveal regarding Horohoro felt as cheap as it could've been. All this time he's seen as a shaman who is late in his own progress and who has nothing to offer and now he has this well-kept secret at a key moment in a fight?
The Hao assassination feels random and oddly inserted into the story. And then there Jeanne assassination is squeezed into there. You can tell that Hiroyuki Takei is all over the place.
This volume tries to reveal something important about Horohoro's past, to show the characters have been underestimating him all this time, but it feels rather convenient and forced to come now during such an important battle. After that, there's many interesting pieces in play, as numerous storylines take an interesting turn, although Yoh's one feels like a ham-fisted way to get him at a higher power level for what may come next.
It’s going down tbh, characters are getting hit and some dying left and right, the last character to die “goes to hell” will be interesting cause obviously they’ll come back 🙄
Yoh Asakura not only sees dead people, he talks and fights with them, too. That’s because Yoh is a shaman, a traditional holy man able to interact with the spirit world. Yoh is now a competitor in the “Shaman Fight,” a tournament held every 500 years to decide who will become the Shaman King and shape humanity’s future. Luchist, one of Hao’s minions, tries to destroy the X-Laws, who only survive thanks to Lyserg’s quick thinking. Now the tournament resumes with Team Ren facing god-wielding Gandala. And when Ren and Joco are beaten, Horohoro is left to fight alone! But there is more to the cocky young Ainu than meets the eye.
Ever since Amazon linked up with comiXology, so that readers could get comics, graphic novels and manga on their kindles, I have been meaning to check out what they had. Under Amazon Prime Reading you get a number of titles for free and this comiXology original is one such series.
The second round of the three man team knockout tournament continues with Team Ren in the midst of a battle. With Ren and Joco incapacitated it is up to Horohoro to take on the remaining two opponents in order for them to progress. Meanwhile, a number of X-Laws are attempting to take out Hao with a secret weapon and someone is looking to take revenge on Lade Jeanne.
Easy to read and engaging, I enjoyed this and it felt just like reading a paperback manga, even on Kindle, as you have to click through the book backwards. A nice little touch. Down to 3 stars as it felt a little crammed and rushed again here. There was an awful lot to take in!
When you read this volume of Shaman King, I think that you should put on the song “War” by the Sick Puppies. It is definitely appropriate for the action filled pages that are contained in this volume. Because of all the action, this volume goes by VERY quickly! The match from last volume continues at the beginning of this one. Then, next up is Magic Princess versus Hana-Gumi. The way this volume ends it definitely has you yearning for the next volume and gives me cliffhanger vibes like when reading volumes of Case Closed. Hiroyuki Takei adds another solid brick to the amazing wall he has constructed called Shaman King.
Horohoro is going to need every ounce of his strength and power as he fends off the Over Souls of Gandala as attacks are waged on Lyserg, Oyamada and Tamao! Takei is leaving no one unharmed in this tantalizing entry to the "Shaman King" series. With Hao setting his ultimate plan in motion, it will take great sacrifice from Yoh to stand a chance of defeating him.
Ricominciamo da dove avevo interrotto, dritti fino alla fine! vol 26-35
**serie in lettura**
