In principle a perfectly handy quick-reference for use with Vampire: the Requiem, in practice it's much less useful these days now that the second edition of that game largely blows the original out of the water and makes sweeping system changed. If you're new to Vampire, and get dragged (kicking and screaming) into a chronicle like me, and are a little intimidated by the (very well written, thorough, but also very flower-y prose of the) rulebook, this is a very practical guide to have around. "I just want to know what the difference between the clans is" or "Ok, I played this 10 years ago, what's changed, so I don't look like an idiot in two days when I'm supposed to have a character ready." This book is very good for THAT. Granted, I'm roleplaying with industry folks who write for this type of game, and we later nicknamed our game "Walmart by Night" because we all have a delightful sense of the absurd, but I felt I probably asked them 50% less stupid questions because I had this tucked under my rule book for the first several sessions.
