"God has a vast reservoir of grace that He wants to pour into your life, your home, and your family. He has provided lots of ways by which that grace can be channeled into your world. Unfortunately, these rivers of grace can become littered with the debris of our own sinful thoughts and actions, as well as the ungodly actions of our ancestors, creating dams that prevent His grace from flowing the way He desires." - Mark and Patti Virkler. The authors' goal for this book is to help you, the reader, to clear away the debris and remove the obstacles that are preventing the grace of God from flowing freely in your family life. The Virkler's offer spiritual principles that are not often applied to family life, and in so doing, will stimulate you to look in new ways at the dynamics of a family that reflects God's love.
2.5 rounded up. I feel very conflicted about this one (which was a gift on becoming a parent). On the one hand it had many chapters of great advice for Christian parenting, on the other I found several chapters bordering on offensive (the suggestion that not homeschooling your children is un-Christian, and the heavy implication that a first generation Christian parent will never be as effective as one from a multi-generational Christian family, for example)
Everything you need to know about generational curses, ie. poverty, illness, injury, divorce, unwed parenthood, sexual immorality, addictions, etc. and how to break curses in your own lineage.
