I would of given this book three stars but the last fifty or so pages really let it down. The main character had no self respect what so ever! I wanted to slap her several times!

I would of kept this book if it wasnt for the ridiculous last few chapters, that just got more and stupid as the pages went on, until it abruptly ended. Don't think I will read anything else by this author.

Oscillating between à 1 and 2:
1- because the main character Libby has really no self respect: spoiler alert here. .. in the story she is being...made unfaithful not 1 but 3 times by her husband!!- and each time for several months- yet she takes him back every time! Whaaat?

If there were True reasons why she stayed with him, it would sure add more depth to the character. But we dont know really why she stays with him: except for his looks ( à bit superficial) and the fact he is funny?
Truly one wouldnt put up with so much bad behaviours from an husband without more reasons-which the Author doesnt delve with.

But Real reasons why to keep accepting this adultery could be: 1) Emotional Child neglect in childhood, 2)abuse, 3)extremely low self esteem, 4)terror of dealing with financial unsafety by one own, 5)terror of being alone and to feel unloved by someone else, 6)impression of feeling without capacity to handle daily issues. .

Which brings me to the second point:
The main character seems to have all 3 Last issues for sure : she can not see to take any decisions or go anywhere without her agent and Best friend Celeste: Libby is totally mollycoddled by her agent acting like à 3 years most of the time rather than à 29 years old.

2) second point to give it à 1: lullabelle bullying attitude towards everyone. And her personality overall is appalling. And so Just because she is either "pretty" or "rich", no one in the book defies her! This really isnt a great message: even Libby never confronts her really.

3) shallow subject-didnt like to read about the plastic surgery theme: i didnt think it would run so much throughout the book. Plus gross !!

4) plus Leo the manager, well let Just say that isnt the Loving Kind. He acts avoidant, spineless and frankly very emotionally detached from all People around him.

5)And i hesitated to give it à 2 because it has interesting to read how one Author does come about writing à ghost biography.
And some other passages were Light hearted.

But the end was way too rushed: clearly the interest of the Author wasnt in giving long detailled reunion in happy ending. In 2 pages this is done and not even in a warm way. In a sort of i cant be arsed with the ending type of message from Author. Which makes the whole relationship between Libby and her New man very little believable and lacking in depth and love vibes.

Stuck in a hotel room with nothing to do and nowhere to go. Not as disappointing as I expected it to be, and I was surprised by the author's willingness to delve into the less glamorous side of plastic surgery (considering the fluffy tone of writing). Ending came off as contrived-- do all three of the female protagonists need to end up with a man? Apparently so. However, the book was still fun, if vapid at times.

It's very nice and easy to read. I put some expectations towards the ending but nah, isn't as mine. But still, make me giggling most of the times(I found this book is funny and not to heavy, perfect for escapisme?) Plus, Jeremy Small is another nuisance guy that I wish he dies at the end. And poor to shameless Ruth-Ann.

Really enjoyed this book. I though Lulabelle was a very clever character, The way Sarah has brought her to life makes you love to hate this character. As for Celeste and Libby, you would love to be their friend.

This was a good, light read for a holiday. The characters were fun, though the ending seemed to be a bit rushed. There were some interesting plot twists which kept me up wanting to find out what happened next.
