Rate this book
The book is a paperback. There are a variety of paintings on the cover. The top middle part of the cover is cut-out in a square and shows the first page of the book.

This book is a compilation sample of many famous authors and poets. But, there are also authors and poets that aren't well known, still important.

Before each story/poem there is a small biography of the author or poet. Then the story/poem. Afterwards is a discussion about the story/poem and then some questions.

In the back is a Thematic Approach list. Then a Rhetoric Approach list. Then the Table of Content by Genre as of Fall 2007. The last two pages explains how to look all of this up online.

If you don't want to read the whole story or poem, then this is the type of book you need. Or if you don't understand a poem or story in a literacy class, this book may help you out.
