Bible Study Help I use this every day!

This book has been a wonderful help for me in studying the bible.

I read through it for each book of the bible before I start reading it in my bible. In fact, it never sits on the bookcase. It's either on the coffee table under my bible, and on my lap while reading the bible.

It is not a commentary. And although it does have lots of maps and charts, what I find most helpful is the context and outline given for each book of the bible. This especially helpful for the New Testament epistles.

Suitable both for newcomers to the bible, as well as those who have cherished reading their bible for years.

Highly recommended!

This is a beginners level introduction to the 66 books of the English Bible. For what it is and is meant to be I think it's a good resource. I finished the Old Testament books but have only used the New Testament as a reference guide to this point. I recommend this book to beginning Bible readers to supplement their reading.

Complete Book of Bible Maps and Charts<, 3rd Edition/i> by Thomas Nelson, is a great addition for the serious student of the bible, small bible groups, homeschooler, or just for the "regular" reader of Scripture.

Broken down into the Old Testament and New Testament, and then by books of the bible,Complete Book of Bible Maps and Charts<, 3rd Edition/i> provides more than just maps and charts, but also great insights into the author of the book, time period (date) that is covered, themes and literay structure,at a glance, outline, a quick synopsis of the local culture and practices, and pertinent information relating to the book (i.e. breakdown of the ten plagues).

Perusing Complete Book of Bible Maps and Charts<, 3rd Edition/i>, the book is a wealth of information and yet just 455 pages thick.

There is both an alphabetical and biblical index in the back and I was truly astonished and happy that Complete Book of Bible Maps and Charts<, 3rd Edition/i> is all that it says it is and more.

This is something that would be a handy resource, with easy to find information and charts for quick look up if you have a daily bible reading plan, need to look up information for bible study or just interested in the relevance of each book of the Bible.

Complete Book of Bible Maps and Charts<, 3rd Edition/i> lives up to providing a new way into looking at the Bible and our Father's message and not only makes the Bible become more alive but there is a true bonus that in addition to what the book has to offer, additional maps and charts that are provided as a free download.

This is an indispensable resource guide that I highly recommend anyone who is either curious or serious about reading His word, and helps provide the reader with additional material that brings the Biblical world alive.

For homeschoolers, this is an added treat to use in addition to your current biblical studies with your children, and a great way to introduce children to the Biblical background of the Bible.

Between the maps, the charts and the tables and the additional information, Complete Book of Bible Maps and Charts<, 3rd Edition/i> guarenteers to bring the Bible alive and provide the reader with an excellent and in depth visual overview of the Bible.

I have to throw in that the price can't be beat either. Not only is it affordable but the addition of the free maps and charts that can be download really makes this an excellent resource to have on hand.

Nelson's Complete Book of Bible Maps and Charts is a Third Edition referrence guide that should be utilized for anyone who either just reads or teaches about the Bible. It is full of charts and maps that will help you to understand what you are reading.

From back cover of book:

*A visual survey of the entire Bible that helps you put the major biblical events and characters in order

*Surveys and charts that offer an overview of each book of the Bible

*New full-color Bible maps that help you see the location of key events

*Tables, charts, and diagrams of Bible information that helps you focus on key issues

*Introductions to each book of the Bible that organize important information.

This book is very comprehensive and organized and very easy to read,I am a visual learning person and I really liked the fact that there were the maps and charts, that are reproducible from the Old and New Testament. In the Old Testament the book lists the Historical Books as well as the Prophetic Books and in the New Testament it covers the Four Gospels, the Epistles of Paul and the General Epistles. I really enjoyed browsing through this book.

This book is paperback format priced at $19.99 from Thomas Nelson or at Amazon.com

Nelson's Complete Book of Bible Maps and Charts 3rd Edition is a must have for any serious student of the Bible. This book is a fantastic resource that breaks down the Bible by book with maps, pictures, and history of each. It also offers a breakdown of the message of each book with comparison to other books on occasion. I loved the maps of the journeys of the patriarchs and from Exodus and the harmony of the Gospels. The pictures of places now really help make the stories I've read come to life now that I have a physical location to place them in. All the maps and charts are also downloadable online and can be reproduced as well. This book's data really brings the Bible to life. It's a book, just like the Bible, that I will never truly be finished reading because of all of the information included.

Wonderfully full colored maps & charts, makes reading the Bible with ease without overwhelming the reader. Beautiful full explanation of most if not all questions answered with a broad view of the Holy Bible. Each book is fully outlined and very well structured for easy reference, yet I must remind you this book is just not for reference, it's a complete book from front to back. fantastic lists of everything you need to know.

This is a great tool to have alongside your study bible. The pdf version came with my purchase of Thomas Nelson's NKJV Study Bible, which was another valuable bible study asset that I recommend. Since I enjoy these interpretations so much, my next study bible will be the Thomas Nelson Chronological Study bible.
