Tommy Donbavand was an English actor and an author of books and comics for children including the Scream Street series. He was from Liverpool, England.
The Scream Street series always fills my heart with happiness and laughter with the perfect sprinkle of tension. The crew continue their hunt for the lost relics so Luke can save his parents from the stress that comes with living in a monster infested community. With Frankenstein vibes, snooty gargoyles, diva skeletons and nasty aunts… Skull of the Skeleton was a fun and exciting read.
Not too bad. Picked up the series with the fifth one and it was pretty easy to understand the plotline of the series even with references to earlier books; plus, there's a brief recap in the beginning. The book is pretty interesting and kinda strange. The characters personalities aren't too developed but they are still fun characters and do add to the story. The story line is an ongoing mystery with plenty of action and adventure in each book. The characters are all strange and quirky and a little gross but I think there are definitely some kids who would be into it.
Read this book so I could quiz my 11 year old for school. I thought it was super cute, age appropriate, and it is giving Halloweentown vibes! 😂 these were my kinds of books as a kid! It has what i will refer to as “beginner grotesque” content. Typical things that would gross that age out. It’s thrilling and adventurous! Very fun read! I wish she would have started from the beginning of the series! She just grabbed it. I believe there are 13 in the series.
*I will warn though, there is a demon character, though not my idea of a demon 😂but I know some parents steer clear of things of that nature! The main characters are a mommy, a wolf, and vampire, with other various creatures as characters. As mentioned above, much like Halloweentown!
This book is about a headless horseman losing his head. The quest to fin the head begins and as one chapter closes another opens. Luke, a half werewolf - half boy , is collecting relics in order to take back his parents to the normal world. Sir Otto sneer creates a monster to take over Scream street. When the monster has gone out of control it is up to the trio once again to defeat it. I did enjoy this book however i wouldn't say it was he best out of the collection. I feel like the storyline was a bit ordanairy and quite boring. However it was still a fun book, and the paste was great.
A good book it has an amazing twist but the first one was very obvious that the headless horseman was a fake still missing a certain felling about the characters
A fun read with a different take on the headless horseman. I’m sure kids will love it and slightly less gory than the last one, although still brimming with action and minor terror.
I really enjoy this series. Just this specific one fell flat for me. Not really my type of book. The twists didn't really land and I was kind of just bored and ready for the next one.
This book really dragged, even in comparison to the other books. Yes, it’s a kid’s book, but if you’re openly displaying the plot twist at the beginning, ehh? Even a child will guess it. And, Sir Otto I a great villain. He’s stupid, funny and a landlord who is really kind of trash at being a landlord. Which I think makes him a good villain. His sister is just annoying and I’m very glad she’s gone. Over all, no I didn’t enjoy this book.
Magic Tree House Merlin Missions - Jack and Annie - time travel Instead of Jack and Annie, we have Luke, Resus and Cleo who are searching for six relics, so that Luke can find a doorway for his family to leave Scream Street and return home. In this installment, the three friends help out the headless horseman in their search for the relic. This series is probably best read in order, but can be read out of sequence as the author includes a recap at the beginning of each book.
5.kitap olduğu için artık alıştım sanırım. Klasik Çığlık Sokağı gibiydi. Diğerleri kadar eğlenerek okumadım. Ortalama derecedeydi. Son kitap nasıl olacak bakalım.
