Luca's parents would like him to go to sleep, but how can he? Everytime he getsinto bed something magical...happens! He transforms into a knight who mustfight a dragon! And then a captain of a submarine who must fight his last battle! And then suddenly he's an archaeologist digging in the desert! So much to getdone before he goes to bed--if only his parents would stop interrupting! This story perfectly captures the reluctance of one child to end his day and hiswild imagination. The illustrations enhance the humour as they straddle the linebetween fantasy and reality. A bedtime treasure! Original Night Flight
Where would you go if you still had the imagination you had as a child? What would you do? This is the story of Luca, a young boy who does not want to go to bed, and each time his parents tell him to go to sleep he begins a new adventure, first as a pirate, then as a Knight, then as an archeologist then a desert trek, and finally a deep sea adventurer. This book is wonderfully written and incredibly illustrated. It's a fun story for the whole family and it will set your child's imagination on fire and maybe bring back some of yours from your childhood.
This is a book about imagination. Luca doesn't want to go to sleep at night, because there is so much to explore and do. A beautifully-illustrated book that would be great for discussing imaginative play. The rhymes aren't amazing, but the story is cute and this would be a fun book to share.
