Authors Karin Tabke, Sunny Chen, and Bonnie Edwards spin tales about three of the sexiest men ever and the three very lucky women who meet them.
Karin Tabke, Stakeout. Cool. Calm. Collected. That's gorgeous detective Stevie Cavanaugh. Solo surveillance on a male escort with a taste for dangerous play? No big deal. Until special agent Jack Thornton, the sexiest one-night stand she ever had, shows up to watch the action too - and gets Stevie hotter than hot...
Bonnie Edwards, Bodywork. Lisa Delaney's classic Cadillac coupe needs work and she knows exactly who to call: Tyce Branton. The man has a reputation for making temperamental engines purr like kittens. And when it comes to women, he has some very satisfied customers...
Sunny, Chinatown. NYPD officer Lily Huang is kidnapped by a ruthless gang and held hostage. One man stands between her and her captors - the FBI agent who shares her cell. And desperate pleasure is their only escape.
Karin is a multi-published, national bestselling, award-winning author.
Karin has sold more than a dozen stories to US publishers: Kensington, Simon & Schuster, and Penguin Random House. Her self-publishing debut, THE CHRONICLES of KATRINA, was met with resounding enthusiasm. Never one to disappoint her readers, Karin happily launched the spinoff series The Bad Boys of the Bay, featuring the heroes she knows so well–hot cops. Translation rights to Karin’s books have been licensed in Japan, Thailand, Germany, France, Spain, Brazil, Italy, Portugal and the UK.
In 2008, Karin’s novel JADED (Simon & Schuster) won the Romantic Times Reviewers’ Choice Award for Best Erotic Romance Suspense. In 2011, her paranormal romance BLOOD LAW (Berkley) won the Romantic Times Reviewers’ Choice award for Best Erotic Fiction and was the first book in her Blood Moon Rising series. In 2012, the second book in the trilogy, BLOODRIGHT, was nominated for the Romantic Times Reviewers’ Choice Award for Best Erotic Paranormal Romance. Karin’s other awards include a CAPA and the Holt Medallion, as well as a finalist nod for the Prism. Her debut single title, GOOD GIRL GONE BAD (Simon & Schuster), was featured in the October 2006 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine.
Karin’s most rewarding award, however, was not bestowed for her storytelling skills but for her mentorship of unpublished writers. She was honored to receive RWA’s (Romance Writers of America) Pro Mentor of the Year award in 2008. She has served as president of her local RWA chapter in San Francisco and as Director-at-Large on the RWA National Board of Directors.
Karin has been married to her own hot cop–now licensed Private Investigator–for over thirty years and she writes what she knows. She has also started and sold several profitable businesses, but her true love is writing passionate love stories. When she isn’t writing, Karin loves to travel and does so extensively, meeting readers and sharing her knowledge via workshops at writer conventions and conferences.
Karin Tabke STAKEOUT-This was my first Karin Tabke novella and this made me a BIG fan. She knows how to make her characters chemistry combust. I enjoyed reading about the Jack and Stevie meeting (again) at a stakeout. I will definately pick up another Karin Tabke book, hopefully full length next time.
Bonnie Edwards BODYWORK-These characters were friends as teens and meet again as adults. Lisa is a rich widow and Tyce is a mechanic restoring the cars her hubby collected and wants to donate. Well I liked how each chapter was titled things like buff job or back end work or other double meaning. The characters again were well thought out and very hot for each other. First time reading Bonnie Edwards and I really enjoyed how set up each chapter.
Sunny CHINATOWN- I LOVE Sunny. There has not been anything I've read yet that I have not enjoyed. This story invovles an undercover Asian woman Lily Huang and an FBI agent Wes that end up locked in a room, with him drugged with an aphrodisaic. So, being the kind woman she is, wants to help ease his ache. He wants to refuse but he sees she really wants to help. She is a virgin and it's just really something so emotional about how Sunny sets up the love scenes between these to. I have found my first romantica keeper, for stories, cover and all!
Stakeout: 4 stars Not my usual read, but it was good. Interesting twists, believable story, hot spots, nice ending (I like things tied off nicely at the end).
Bodywork: 5 stars Nice story, plenty of heat and a good ending. Would love to read more about this and "what happened next", but I'm guessing it's probably just a stand alone story.
Chinatown: 5 stars Undercover cop job goes wrong, but in other ways, right. Good story, had some action, suspense, a "decent guy", a ballsy woman, some hot sex and a HEA. Can't go wrong.
The first thing that got me to read it was the hot cover and I wasn't disappointed. With three different stories ,if you didn't like one of the stories you can move on to the next .I loved stakeout by Karin Tabke ,that I had to read more of her work.I didn't like body work by Bonnie Edwards it didn't catch my attention.Chinatown by Sunny is something you don't want to end.
Fast, light read, a little something for everyone. The stories are short and right to the point, lots of sex and falling for each other quickly. So if you want or need a little something to carry you over before another group read starts or your favorite author's book comes out this might be for you.
Good read - multi-author contemporary anthology. All the stories were excellent - tight, hot and with engaging characters. Several of these authors were new to me - I will be looking for them again.
I was kinda feeling like this book again, so I took it out of my shelve and re-reade it. It was still as great as the first time around. Funny character development, sizzling love and woman who know what they want. I still recommend it, if you like your story rough and your sex hot.
the romance is totally steamy but the storytelling of these novellas leaves something to be desired. just, 'eh.' I'm glad I only spent $2 on this at a half price clearance sale.
This was a decent collection of 3 stories. I would have liked more story information, but they were short, to the point, and hot! Quick reads, and decent overall.
