Illegal and restricted weapons from Afghanistan enter North America through a Canadian port. To head the movement of the contraband, a notorious biker escapes prison and takes two retired and married prison workers hostage. Protagonist Tracy Highfield, an experienced undercover RCMP officer, is tasked to assist the FBI, find the escaped biker, and protect the hostages. Sexual tension develops between Tracy and the FBI Special Agent. Known only to the reader is that the weapons are destine for a United States based terrorist sleeper cell. The coincidence of an escaped federal prisoner linking up with two retired correctional officers, begs an important question for Tracy: are the hostages captives or accomplices?
