An absolute charmer of a book that I plucked out of a little free library while out for a walk. I wasn't familiar with the original text, The Practice of the Presence of God, but this reimagining has sparked my interest in Brother Lawrence. The stories and letters are truly moving in their simplicity and earnestness. I really enjoyed it and I'm so pleased to have stumbled upon a copy.

This book is a modernization of Brother Lawrence's writings. I read it when I was in my 20s and found it very uplifting and provocative at the time. Rereading it again, I was once again profoundly impacted by Brother Lawrence's simple formula for prayer and living a life dedicated to God. In rediscovering it, it is definitely one I will re-read again.

This book calls itself a "reinterpretation" of Practicing the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence.

It's a wonderful little book about growing spirituality.
