Dr. Fuhrman's book is a good look at science-based nutrition. He focuses on why fruits and vegetables and other nutrient-rich foods are best for our diets and his plan is simple. There are similarities between this diet and the one in another of his books, Eat to Live, but the Nutritarian plan is more accessible and friendly to the greater public and slightly less strict. When you need to see a change in your health for the better, the Nutritarian Handbook is a resource that cannot be missed.

I like this book because it's short and to the point. I've read Eat to Live and other materials by Dr. Fuhrman. They are all good, but this one is handy and easy to refer to. A good kitchen table reference.

This book is important in that it outlines which foods are considered the most nutritious and why. Fuhrman's claim is that if we eat only the most nutritious food, we will not be hungry for other foods and will lose weight and obtain optimal health. His plan heavily restricts any sort of meat (including poultry) and follows more of a vegan lifestyle than I prefer.

An excellent and concise guide to the nutritarian food philosophy. There are only a few recipes in here though and many of them are best made with a high powered Vitamix blender. So you may need to look elsewhere for a better selection of recipes.

I'd already read a lot of information about the Eat Right America plan on-line, but it was nice to see it condensed in a handbook. Get your greens on! The recipes were good, but not nearly enough.

I liked this book because it was short and to the point. Great information especially since I'm now on a new diet. This book is very helpful.
