Sarah Stevens experiences a bride's worst being dumped at the altar. When she goes on the Caribbean cruise meant to be her honeymoon in order to lick her wounds, she discovers her ex-fiance has sent his brother Will Marshall, the former best man, on the cruise as well. Everyone on board thinks they're newlyweds, and Sarah is too embarrassed to set them straight. There is nothing like a romantic cruise to bring two people together, particularly when they are pretending to be honeymooners. Sarah discovers she is in love, real love. She believes Will cares for her too. But will his loyalty to Brad stand in the way of their happiness? Can she convince Will that he is her best man?
Jana Richards has tried her hand at many writing projects over the years, from magazine articles and short stories to paranormal suspense and romantic comedy. She loves to create characters with a sense of humor, but also a serious side. She believes there's nothing more interesting then peeling back the layers of a character to see what makes them tick.
When not writing up a storm or dealing with dust bunnies, Jana can be found pursuing hobbies like golf (which she does very badly) and reading (which she does much better).
Nothing is worse than being dumped at the alter, right? Not when you're on your honeymoon cruise with your ex-fiancee's brother and best man and the passengers think you're a real couple. But what happens when you start to fall for your ex-fiancee's best man and he returns the feelings, though racked with guilt. Will he choose love or stay loyal to his brother? Oh man, I absolutely loved this romance! Richards expanded her writing skills in this one as I felt an instant connection with the characters. The awkwardness of the couple led to slow-burning romance. I mean, when you meet the one man who understands you best, you hang onto him. The conflict and emotions are high but the ending is worth it. Another gem by Jana Richards!
It was a very quick read, it took two hours to finish. The plot was good, the characters had a good foundation but they lacked depth. We really didn't get insight into their thoughts we just got a quick basic idea as to what the character was thinking. This book could have knocked it out of the park if we just had more insight into the characters.

‘Her Best Man’ was delightful. The jubilant plot involved being left at the altar, humor, going on a planned honeymoon cruise, an unexpected guest claiming the ship’s cabin, taking chances, having a different outlook on life, an epiphany, falling in love, a conversation between brothers, losing the best man, standing up for oneself, deciding a mom’s fate, sending gifts, and love. Moreover, Will and Sarah, the protagonists, were soulmates and gushed with chemistry. Additionally, I liked the author’s vivid descriptions which included imagery, figurative language, hilarity, and scintillating word choices that created a lively tone, such as “Sarah's mother had appeared high-strung when Will met her last night, but now her strings had completely snapped,” and “They watched the eruption of flame against the night sky, the explosions illuminating the darkness with color. Brilliant green and blue bursts of light reflected in the calm water, creating the image of fire leaping out of the sea.” Overall, I liked the feel-good narrative. Wow this book is really cute and good. I really enjoyed reading and I know you will too. I highly recommend that you grab a copy of this book. Enjoy reading it, I sure did.
The book starts out with Brad Marshall and Sarah Stevens at the altar getting married. Or they were supposed too but Brad ended up bolting out of the church and said he is not ready for married life. The bride and her mother send his best man and brother, Will after the groom. Brad is upset that he left Sarah at the altar and tries to call and apologize for leaving that way. But little does he know that Sarah is on the Caribbean cruise that was meant to be their honeymoon. OOPS...he had sent his brother Will to go on the cruise since he could not get his money back not knowing that Sarah was going on the cruise as well. Everyone on board thinks they are newlyweds on their honeymoon. And since Will is pretending to be his brother they can not correct them without getting Will kicked off of the ship.
So how will they survive being in a small cabin with only one bed? And how will they pull off pretending to be newlyweds? Will Sarah discover that the Best Man really is he best man for her?
When Sarah’s wedding ends with a runaway groom she’s hurt and humiliated, but she realizes she’s not heartbroken. She decides to use the ticket for what was supposed to be her honeymoon cruise or to have her ex-fiancé’s brother and best man show up instead.
I enjoyed reading how these two nearly perfect strangers gradually got to know each other and how Will helped push Sarah out of her comfort zone. The story has humor and a little sass as they navigate sharing a cabin with just one bed. Attraction simmers and they both attempt to avoid temptation.
This is a fairly light and easy read with some angst as Will tries to avoid his attraction to the woman his brother loves and wants back.

A very entertaining story of a bride being jilted at the alter and then falling for the best man on her honeymoon cruise. Sarah still went on the cruise booked for her honeymoon just to get away from her family who said they would go to see her every day after Brad said he couldn't marry her and left the church. Will is Brad's brother and best man who is a writer but getting over an illness from his last trip. Brad gives him his ticket for the cruise thinking Sarah wouldn't go. Unknowingly they have to share a room and pretend to be on their honeymoon. Their HEA is full of angst and humour making it not to be missed.
After being left at the altar Sarah decides to go on her honeymoon cruise alone. Once there she discovers that her ex-fiance gave his ticket to his brother. Now Sarah and Will have to share a cabin and pretend to be newly-weds…
This was a fairly entertaining book with some unbelievable elements. I liked the main characters but could not really relate to them. I also had some trouble believing that Sarah and Will could be sure of their feelings after only knowing each other for a few days. For me an enjoyable romance but not a must-read. "Her Best Man" is a delightful and humorous read! Jana Richards delivers a charming story with engaging characters and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. It's a fun, feel-good romance that's perfect for anyone looking for a lighthearted escape.
My opinions are my own. Thank you to Voracious Readers Only for this free ebook.
Getting left at the alter was beginning of book. She was ditched at alter so decided to go on honeymoon as it was paid for she arrived on cruise and her fiancee brother turned up as her fiance said he could use his ticket sharing a cabin they both have thoughts of each other will they end up being more then friends loved this book
Going on her honeymoon alone was painful for Sarah but after the groom left her at the alter she needed to escape for a while. When the groom gives his brother, Will the tickets to the honeymoon you know things are going to get interesting. I found this romance to be very entertaining, fun and emotional with just a little bit of steam.
I just finished reading the *cutest* story! 🥰 It's about Sarah getting left at the altar, can you believe it?! Then, she realizes she's in love with her ex's brother! Talk about a plot twist. #romance #love #books
Sarah is left at the altar by Brad, his brother Will ends up taking his place on their honeymoon cruise! Did Brad and Sarah really love each other or were they comfortable?

I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author via Voracious Readers Only. I have been loving reading Rom coms lately. The description was very noticing and it didn’t disappoint. This book was very endearing and I enjoyed that they didn’t have to demonize the characters to still create the sweet HEA. I’m being intentionally vague to not spoil it but it was a sweet story of self discovery for all characters with cute humor and romance
Her best Man is the first novel of Left at the Altar Series written by Jana Richards. I got hooked just by reading these blurbs and wanted to read all three of them. I enjoyed each one for what they were. The humor make you laugh and the sad moments really breaks your heart. Her best Man, reminded me so much of WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING, its about Sarah who is waiting for the I do but never in a million years did she think the love of her life and the man she wants to start her life with will run out and leave her at the altar. Deciding to take a break for all the people in her life and from this fiasco she was left in she went on her honeymoon alone. On the other side we have Will, the running groom’s brother. Who took his brother’s ticket and hope he would be able to write another novel. He never bargained on meeting brother’s ex fiance to be there too. They formed a friendship that lead to more, but can Will step up and claim Sarah for his own. To make this even harder, bro wants Sarah back, but he has no idea if Sarah will take him back. I love love love this story, all of them. I think she has done a wonderful job with writing all three and you are left with wanting more. Even though they all begin with someone being left at the Altar. I gave all three novels of the Left at the Altar Series a five. I really enjoyed them and I recommend them to all my girl friends
Two simple words were all Sarah needed to hear to begin her new life with her future husband, she had no idea he would flea and run out of the chapel. The pitying looks, family becoming too involved, Sarah Stevens decides to go on her honeymoon without the groom. Will Marshall, the grooms brother, agrees to take his ticket to the honeymoon that won’t happen. Who knows maybe he will receive the inspiration he needs to write the novel he has been in limbo with. He had not expected to Sarah, who he had only met once. Neither planned to form a friendship of sorts and to be pushing each other’s boundaries. When friendship turns to something else though, Will knows he can’t have Sarah, after all his brother wants her back. The question is, does Sarah?
Sweet story, the beginning grabs the readers attention and you are entertained until the very end. I liked that it wasn’t just instant rebound for Sarah, she and Will take time to cultivate a friendship.
Her Best Man by Jana Richards is the first book in her Left at the Alter series. While this isn't a hilarious story by any means, Isabelle Stevens is one funny lady. Beating the groom with her high heel - Priceless! With this scene unfolding I was drawn in.
Thrown together in a disaster of a honeymoon, the Bride (Sarah) and the Best Man (Will) grow ever closer on the honeymoon cruise. Visiting ancient Mayan ruins together, Will getting past the passport guy after a convincing performance by Sarah.
The build up is awesome and the story is bittersweet to start and just plain sweet to finish.
Finally....I got to read this book. It was no where available n I was searching for it for a long time. You could say I was very much enjoyed the synopsis so somehow wanted to read it. Now since after reading it...it was an enjoyable romance..a normal common plot but with a smooth flow of writing. I liked the flow of the story....the carribean cruise was entertaining along with sarah n will's characters. everything I enjoyed except will's behaviour at the end..how he hurts sarah ...even though he makes up for in the climax but the words he used were cruel n I felt for sarah. Brad...should have a story too...dont know if ther is one!
