As Men's Director of a large Sonoma County nonprofit drug/alcohol treatment program (Redwood Gospel Mission) from 2006-2010, Don implemented and taught all of the methods found in "12 NOT For Dummies" to some of the most addicted and troubled men of all, which immediately and effectively increased the number of graduates from that program each year by nearly 300%. In 2009, World Magazine then chose that program as one of the top 10 faith-based programs in America (more info here). Fascinated by addiction and more-so by the miraculous recovery process, Don considers the common threads we share as addicts/alcoholics to be as interesting as the insanity we all suffered from in our pre-recovery lives.
