With the ability to convey the salvation message in a simple, unpretentious manner, he led many to Christ and won the title of great American evangelist.
I find that this book was not particularly well written. This seemed like a generic type of book that could be written about anyone and the author just included D.L. Moody's name. It would be great for getting a general overview of the major points of Moody's life, however. Was really hoping for some more details and more of what Moody believed. Not recommended.
We often know of people, but rarely get to "know" them. This book takes you into the life, ministry and adventures of one of the greatest evangelists ever. His fervor, excitement and zeal is felt throught the pages. His story is a great reminder of the life we all should be living. To bring others to the cross and the hope of salvation through Christ alone. Good and easy read.
Harvey Wallbangers #1 SImple biography of the great Moody, tells his story in a way that is relatable to all ages, could be extended to give more detail, and perhaps a detailed biographical writing may have more to say, but as an introduction this is a good place to begin if looking at his life.
An uneducated evangelist God used to reach millions in Ireland, Scotland, England and the United States and to establish what is now the Moody Bible Institute!
Excellent! I think this book did me a lot of good to see his heart exhibited for people, for the gospel, for unity of the church around outreach, and the perspective on the Free Church and his visit to Scotland.
This was a wonderful book!!! It was amazing to see what this man of God was all about. I have heard much of Moody, but this book brought new stories and anecdotes to life! A good read for anyone who wants to learn more about, Moody the Man of God.
I enjoyed learning more about Dwight L Moody; however, the writing was a bit hard to follow at times and there were quite a few typos. But I am glad that I read the book.
