Savannah is beautiful. Brilliant. Brighter than a ray of sunshine. She’s also way too young for me and practically family. But she’s in trouble.
When she witnesses a murder at the hands of rival mafia, Savannah flees to the only safe refuge she knows — my family.
My life is ordered. Careful. Disciplined. But when Savannah needs protection, I can’t turn her away.
I offer her a deal: I’ll take her into my custody. Hide her in plain sight at Le Luxe, the club I own and operate for those who understand the pleasure that comes with total surrender.
I’ll keep her safe, no matter the cost.
In return, she'll follow my rules. Masquerade as the perfect submissive. Obey me.
Our ruse might save her life…but will it save her from me?
"Master Me" is a stand-alone novel in Jane Henry's new series, "Masters of Corsica.”
Fueled by dark chocolate and even darker coffee, USA Today bestselling author Jane Henry writes what she loves to read – character-driven, unputdownable romance featuring dominant alpha males and the powerful heroines who bring them to their knees. She’s believed in the power of love and romance since Belle won over the beast, and finally decided to write love stories of her own.
Age gap, BDSM romance. Thayer is the owner of Le Luxe, a high-end, exclusive sex club. Savannah is his sister-in-law's younger sister and much too young for him. She accidentally witnesses a murder by a rival crime syndicate and is in grave danger. She seeks out Thayer for protection and he takes her to the club knowing she'd be safe there. Of course that leads to a whole nother ballgame. Their attraction blossoms and the romance goes through the roof. Great story with fabulous characters. An absolutely wonderful read!
what i love about Jane Henrys books is that when she is writing a series, they are all as good as the first or even better, and i love that a wonderful author can do that. Thayer and Savannah are a great couple but at first they bicker, but when it comes to proctecting Savannah because she has seen a murder, Thayer will bring out all the stops . So much so that he takes her to the only once place that no one will get to. Once there though he finds out more about Savannah, she is definately his.
I absolutely loved this story and im sure you will as well.
The story is the first in the Masters of Corsica series. The story is a mystery with suspense, secrets, danger, and romance. The two main characters will be Thayer Gerard and Savannah. She has moved to Paris where she is a grad student—and is happy to be close to her sister, Nicolette.
The story continues from Own Me, where Fabian and Nicolette’s story began. After a meal at a café, they are leaving and Fabian isn’t happy that Savannah keeps refusing the protection of a bodyguard. She doesn’t feel it is necessary but getting lost, and stumbling upon a crime that leaves an officer shot and killed will have her fleeing for her life and finding her way to the Gerard home. Thayer will take charge of her, and with Lyam, they will get her to Le Luxe, the most exclusive club in Corsica—a master/slave club, owned by Thayer.
“What he does isn’t exactly legal, but sometimes ignorance is bliss. Since I like bliss, I’ve chosen ignorance.”
The story has the good, the bad, and evil, and is mystery, suspense, with action-adventure, and danger. It will have Thayer and Lyam needing to learn who committed the crime because now the word is they are out to eliminate Savannah to remove all witnesses. With her connection to Nicolette and Fabian, it won’t take them long to know who she is too. They must keep Savannah protected, but there are breaches even in their system that has Lyam concerned. How will they keep Savannah safe, and hidden will be challenging.
“My word is law and my command absolute.”
As Thayer and Savannah spend most of their time together, the chemistry between them is undeniable. Besides the danger aspect, there is curiosity from Savannah, wanting to immerse herself in the experience of dominance and submission, and she trusts Thayer to know he won’t hurt her and freely gives him her submission. It was fun watching the struggle that Thayer goes through, wanting her, fearing her reaction to his darkness, and yet, desiring her enough that he allows her to explore with him teaching her.
“You crave being dominated and controlled, but you can’t rationalize why. What we have here is everything those out there will tell you is wrong, yet you can’t turn away. I’ve shown you your dark side and it scares you. And you know you can’t turn away now. And neither can I.”
“Loving him doesn’t mean turning my back on who he is, but accepting all of him.”
Did you read 'Own Me', you know, book one of Jane Henry's "Masters of Corsica"? If you did, then I'm sure you remember Nicolette's younger sister Savannah. She was the one Fabien had to ask a member of the Rossi family to protect when feathers hit the fan last time. Now we get her story. She's still as obstinate and independent as she was when we met her previously except now, she lets a little more of that curiosity and exploration loose since she's living in Paris. And what about Thayer? Do you remember Fabien's younger brother, the serious, stoic one that always looked angry? Yep, that's him. These two make an incredible pair and having Ms. Henry allow us on this journey because that's how it feels, was an experience I won't soon forget. There's murder, danger, crime families, betrayal, insecurities, M/s kink, and a melt-your-heart romance. I don't want to give anything away but as I mentioned before, this storyline and all it contains is incredible.
This book doesn’t disappoint. We know the Masters of Corsica are demanding, fiercely protective, and loyal to a fault. Thayer demands control in all things but when it comes to Savannah he can’t seem to control anything. She is smart mouthed, quirky, beautiful and so sexy it’s driving him insane! He needs to focus because she must be kept safe because she is slowly consuming all of his thoughts and of anything happens to her he’d never forgive himself. This is an intense and beautiful ride where Thayer & Savannah find their HEA and learn new things about themselves long the way. This is a perfect addition to this sexy series! Happy Reading!!
This 2nd book in the Masters Of Corisica is so damn good. So far Thayer and Savannah are my favorite couple. At first Thayer thought he could stay away from Savannah. Well that didn't turn out the way he thought. I believe Savannah was in love with Thayer from the moment she saw him. There's danger and intrigue in their story. You do not want to miss this one.
Savannah is the only witness to the murder of a police officer and she runs to Thayer for help. Thayer decides he must protect her and he believes hiding her out in his exclusive club is the perfect option. Too bad Savannah brings out the dominant master in him and he has a really hard time holding back around her. Savannah wants Thayer to lose control so she can see him truly uninhibited. This is a great read and I am definitely looking forward to more book from the Masters of Corsica series.
DNF 86% - I don't rate books I don't finish. It doesn't seem fair. I won't make a rating exception here, but I'll do a review. Mostly because i am so annoyed.
I greatly disliked Savannah. I would not want to be friends with her. She was supposed to be sunshine and light, but she was insecure and manic pixie girl. But I think the reason I hated her is because the author wrote someone who leaned on her graduate status and thought herself worldly and then just started doing THE dumbest sh*t for tension and drama. This is not to say that all graduate students are smart. They are not. But to consistently talk about being a graduate student is giving it meaning, and generally that meaning is not: I'm dumb. I get one's brain lying to them about the status of a relationship with a stoic person, but how do you not understand the direness of a situation in which you are a witness to a mob murder? Even if they think you're dead, you'll still at some point be required to testify. So. Let's add short sighted to her list of flaws.
Prose was fine. There were some inconsistencies, but it was tolerable.
Around the exciting part - 80% - is what I just stopped caring and started skimming. I stopped caring about the end, about the characters, about development, the end. It was just meh. I had no interest in being in Savannahs graduate brain any longer. So if I had to rate it, it'd be 2 ⭐️. Oddly the last time I hated a FMC it was also a mob story.
I haven't read a book this terrible since Den of Vipers: spoilers
First off let me preface this by saying I kept reading hoping it would get better, it never did. I really don't understand how this book got the reviews it did. Savannah is a terrible heroine, she doesn't want to be treated like a child yet she is extremely immature and naive. Thayer well let's just say he was very lackluster. Absolutely no chemistry between the two. The sex scenes were mediocre at best. Instalove . Need I say more about that ? My first eye roll was at the beginning when savannah gets lost, witnesses a murder then somehow finds her way to Thayers home? Make it make sense. Also I'm biased because I loathe the pregnancy trope but the first time you have unprotected sex Realize what you have done and have done nothing to try and change it and continue to have unprotected sex and then are surprised that you end up pregnant? The final straw for me ? Savannah gets mad when she realizes the dog collar has a tracking device and leaves because of it ? Really? That's what it took ? This book to me seems like a knock off of Fifty Shades of Grey if Christian Gray was a part of the mafia it is so ridiculous I definitely would not recommend this book the only reason I did not give it one star is because the ending was a little bit action packed.
The FML character said I’m not a child about fifty times during this book and acted like a child fifty times. Only a child or simple minded person leaves a safe place because she’s mad about finding out she has a tracker on. She finds out she’s pregnant and leaves knowing people are trying to kill her and they know all her information. At this point I didn’t care if she was killed, she would have deserved it for being so dumb throughout the whole book. ML was a hard ass at all.
Master Me: Masters of Corsica Book 2 by Jane Henry
When you read a Jane Henry novel, you know there will be dark, hot, sexy romance between a surly, alpha male and a tenacious, willful woman. However, Ms. Henry shakes things up for her readers in her new series Masters of Corsica. The setting of Master Me: Masters of Corsica Book 2 begins in Paris, France, but an unexpected development causes Thayer Gerard to take his sister-in-law Savannah to the island of Corsica to hide her in his elite sex club Le Luxe for “protection.”
Savannah is the sister of Nicolette, whom we met in Own Me: Masters of Corsica Book 1, who worked as a high-class Call girl in Fabien’s brothel in Paris so she could save money to educate her younger sister Savannah. Of course, once Fabien met Nicolette, he fell in love with her and eventually married her. Savannah is presently in grad school in Paris and is trying to keep a low-key normal life for herself, despite her sister Nicolette marrying into the Gerard family who has money, power, and prestige due to their Mafia connections. Of course, low-key is hard to do when she has long pink hair the color of cotton candy! Fabien and Nicolette try to convince Savannah that she needs guard for her protection, but she resists. In her mind, she wants her life to be as normal as possible and enjoy her time in college in Paris. But even the best of plans can go awry, as Savannah finds out when walking home alone after eating at a café with Fabien and Nicolette. Savannah finds herself being chased through Paris, so she runs towards the Gerard family home for safety.
After her frantic knocking on the door, an armed Thayer opens the door flanked by his brother Lyam, a visiting Mario Rossi (from the US), and Maman Gerard. A disheveled Savannah flies into Thayer’s arms warning him to “Shut the door… Lock the gates! Hurry!” Since her brother-in-law Fabien and Nicolette are on flight to Italy and are currently unreachable by cell phone, Thayer goes into protection mode towards Savannah.
Thayer, whose nickname is le Savage, decides to keep her at their Gerard manor until he gets more detail from Savannah and then formulates a plan of action with Lyam and Mario. His first priority is her safety, but Thayer would be remiss not to mentally acknowledge that Savannah’s smart and sassy vibes along with her innocent beauty are exactly his type. However, he is ten years older and is also her brother-in-law. Thayer has no interest in romance or love since he owns the elite sex club Le Luxe in Corsica. There he is a Dominant and has submissives if he so desires—no strings attached. He is very comfortable in that lifestyle.
Savannah and Nicolette lost their parents, Nicolette stepped up in responsibility, matured, and legally became Savannah’s guardian until she was 18. Nicolette worked and saved her money to put Savannah through college. As a result, Savannah loves her sister but also feels somewhat obligated to Nicolette too. With her sister now married to Fabien, Savannah is even more independent since…she has to be. She resents taking orders from anyone and often runs her mouth before she thinks things through. Savannah is harboring a secret crush on Thayer since the guy is a walking, sensual aphrodisiac on two legs. Thayer is very attracted to Savannah, but her independent attitude, according to him, needs to be tamed. He is torn between his family obligation of protecting his sister-in-law and making Savannah HIS.
Despite the top-notch security and screened clientele at Le Luxe, some unusual breaches begin to happen on the property. Will Thayer manage to keep Savannah safe from the murderous thugs who are after her? Will she be safe from Thayer himself? Will Savannah behave or put herself at undue risk just to make a point? After this is over, how will Fabien and Nicolette handle all the turmoil Savannah and Thayer went through? ~~~~~~~ K. Wolf, PhD 2/23/23
This is book #2 in Henry's Masters of Corsica series. Each is a stand alone so, technically, don't have to be read in order, but the stories deal with brothers of the Gerard family, so there are repeat characters in each. Some might prefer reading them in order just for continuity of the time-line from one book to the next ... I didn't. The Gerard's are a top crime family of France with bases in Paris and Corsica.
I love Henry's alpha heroes, even the masterful dominant alphahole ones! She always manages to combine the dominance with tenderness and a soft or weak spot for the heroine, making them loveable.
This MMC, Thayer (pronounced Thah-YAIR in french if you're interested), is no different. He's a dominant and into the kink (a master), but def not an ahole. He's more the protective type who has trouble letting people in, letting himself love, for fear of losing them. (There's a reason for that.) He's fierce and savage when it comes to protecting his family and the few close to him.
The h (MFC) is a strong woman who wants to be seen as an adult. A tragic past has left her feeling like she's never enough. She's a sexual innocent (only one lackluster experience) but not ignorant. She reads a lot of smut romance and is very curious. Turns out to be more than curiosity as this girl desires more than just vanilla.
Both have had an attraction to the other but fought it for various reason; one being their older siblings are married to each other, making them almost family. But after witnessing a murder she has to go into hiding, and under his protection at his private, exclusive, members only kink club. Temptation abounds everywhere as she begins to learn more about herself, her kinks. As they explore, she slowly begins to breach the walls he's built around himself. At the same time they are dealing with the threats and danger she faces and unknown security breaches at the club. Add in a couple of glitches in their developing relationship as she also deals with her insecurities and feelings of inadequacy and you have one exciting, hot and steamy story.
As to the kink.....there are many threats in certain situations, but everything that happens between the MMC and MFC is most defintely consensual. Henry handles this 'innocent-with-kinks' journey into the life (d/s and crime family) beautifully and believably. I love that the h, in spite of the d/s relationship, doesn't lose herself or her autonomy. 4.5 stars. Great read.
This book follows a predictable pattern where the hero rescues the heroine. A dark, dangerous man connected to a mafia family. From this point, nothing is predictable about this story as Ms. Henry takes you on the ride of your life through the streets of Paris and the Island Of Corsica. This tale of forbidden love between an angel and a savage left my heart pounding.
Savannah and Thayer’s relationship was complex. There was honor within the criminal world's where having sex with the person you are protecting is frowned upon, especially if it's your brother's sister-in-law. Thayer was the quintessential bachelor until Savannah turned to him for help. The story picks up in Paris, where Savannah is being lectured by her sister about the need for protection. Life is good for Savannah, and she blows the idea of a bodyguard out of the water. After all, what to possibly go wrong? How about witnessing a murder and being on the run for your life? Savannah was spirited and faced each new challenge head-on. Adventurous and keen to experience each new kink, she discovered a darker side of herself that she had never known existed. She craved Thayer’s discipline. Her emotions confused her as she was both horrified and excited. Savannah was strong despite the obstacles she faced. She came out the other side, unwilling to relinquish her newfound sensuality and submission.
Thayer was known as the savage of the Gerard Mafia family for a good reason. He oozed danger and power. He was in charge of his domain at Club De Luxe an elite BDSM club on the Island Of Corsica. For a confirmed bachelor, it did not seem to take long before Savannah broke through his barriers. Their chemistry could have melted an iceberg. He was incredibly controlling, dominant, and dangerous. An unapologetic alpha male anti-hero who did not give a damn. His knowledge of life and death situations kept them one step ahead of danger.
I loved this deep dive. The pages turned with ease as I saturated myself in the story of forbidden love between these characters. It was intoxicating. A romantic mafia thriller sprinkled with a dose of dark and dirty.
Jane Henry sure has the knack of keeping me sleep deprived, this is the second book in her "The Masters of Corsica" series and I couldn't put it down. She was in the wrong place at the wrong time and it could cost her her life. Beautiful, Feisty Savannah was in Paris, a city that she loved but she was to witness a murder and the killer had seen her face, she fled to the only place that she knew that she would be safe, the family home of her sister and brother in law, Powerful mafia boss Fabian Gerard. Things were worse that she at first thought, not only had she witnessed a murder but the killer was part of a rival mafia gang and they would stop at nothing to silence her. Ruggedly handsome Thayer Gerard was tasked with keeping Savannah safe but how ? the only place that came to mind was the luxurious, high class and very exclusive club that the family owned, would she be shocked at what she saw there ? she would be hidden in plain sight, she would have to appear submissive to him but could he be sure that the strong willed, spirited Savannah could be taught to obey ? The attraction was immediate but Savannah was ten years his junior, she was family, Thayer couldn't afford distractions if he was to keep Savannah safe but would Savannah be happy in her erotic gilded cage ? This story follows the deepening love between Savannah and Thayer, the danger of being part of a mafia family but also being part of mafia family unit which offers support, steadfastness, loyalty and love. A brilliant story and I now can't wait for the next one. I received a free copy of this book and my review is voluntary.
Savannah and Thayer are an unlikely couple, but then again - not really. That's kinda how this whole book went for me. This is a 3.5 read for me overall, but the chemistry, steamy scenes and drama/storyline are 4.5.
On one hand, Savannah's naivete is absolutely perfect for the "Master" in Thayer. She is inexperienced, and just smart-mouthed and bratty enough to charge up the urges to dominate that are in him. On the other hand, she seems very accepting of the dangers of his world, and ready the throw down with the best of them. I kept feeling conflicted about her.
Thayer, Lyam and Fabien are exactly what we want our dangerous, controlling book boyfriends to be. I really enjoyed getting to know Fabien in book one, and I was happy to learn more about Thayer in this one. I really enjoyed reading Mario Rossi's appearance in this one, as I loved his story /series. [I recommend reading that series too - Deviant Doms - Mario's book is #5] My "issues" with this read rest squarely on Savannah's character, and the flip-flops in her character's behavior. I would LOVE to tell you more, but I'm not about spoilers, so...!
I recommend this author, this series, and her numerous other works. I continue to enjoy her stories and characters, and suggest her works be read in order to have the best reading experience. Overall, I enjoyed this read, and I am very much looking forward to Lyam's story. I received a free ARC of this book, and voluntarily leave my review. :)
This series has been amazing. For the best enjoyment of this book I would suggest you read book 1 first. The story doesn't demand it but the characters might be easier to identify if you do. Savannah is out wandering at night, gets lost and witnesses a crime. The people involved see her face and she runs. Lost and frightened she heads to her sister who also happens to be married to a mob boss. It soon becomes apparent the people Savannah saw are rival mob members and they are hunting her to shut her up for good. Fabien, Savannah's brother in law puts her in the hands of his brother Thayer who decides to hide her in plain sight, at the ex club he runs. Thayer keeps her as his apparent submissive to avert questions as to why she is at the club. This does not sit well with the feisty and opinionated Savannah, but as time passes she wonders if she hates Thayer's lifestyle as much as she should. Tired of being kept at the club and not being allowed out she makes a run for it,with disastrous results. It quickly becomes apparent, as Thayer searches for her, that the two have feelings for each other they have both been denying to each other and themselves. I love the way Jane has brought some of the Rossi brothers from the last series into the story, I love when character meander from book to book. This is another triumph from Jane and I can't wait for Part three.
To be totally into this one you should read book one first so you know what happened with Fabien and Nicolette. Savannah is Nicolette's sister and Thayer is Fabien's brother. She is a grad student and is enjoying her freedom living alone in Paris. Her sister thinks she should have a bodyguard, but Savannah doesn't feel she is important enough for such a thing. After all, it is Nicolette who is married to the the mobster, not her. But when she gets lost while walking home and ends up witnessing a cop being shot down, she is no longer so blasé. Now she is running for her life and she manages to make her way to the Gerard family home and into the arms of Thayer.
Thayer knows that he is too old for Savannah and he knows Fabien would not be happy if he messed with his sister-in-law's baby sister. But he does plan to keep her safe and that means taking her to Le Luxe where no one will be looking for her. Now he just has to make her understand that while she is there everyone must believe that she is his submissive, and that is not a part she will easily play. Or is it?
Savannah doesn't know much about sex or kink, but with Thayer she just might be willing to learn. Of course, she has to keep her temper under control or she will find herself over his lap... I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
Wonderful second book in this wonderful series, guarantee that you’ll love every moment of this splendid read
This read will hold your attention from start to finish and I guarantee that you will enjoy the characters and scenario which is very cleverly written and I guarantee that once you begin reading you will find it impossible to put this read down until you reach the final page and the outcome.
Savannah is unfortunate in as much as she witnesses a murder being carried out by a group of mafia men and Savannah knows that her life is on the line, they will kill her if they are able to find her so she does the only thing she can and that is to get back to the protection of her family.
When she gets home the best decision they can come up with to keep her safe and to ensure that they believe she is important to the head of this Mafia family, she has to be careful and disciplined so that he knows he has to keep her under his care and attention.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
Savannah is walking alone in Paris when she witnesses a murder. She is frightened and knows she is in immediate danger. The only family she knows in Paris is her brother=in-law’s family, the Gerards. So, that is where she flees—to Thayer. As it turns out, she has witnessed a gang murder of a policeman. She needs to hide out where no one will think to look for her—Le Luxe. Le Luxe masquerades as a luxury hotel, but it hides Dominants, submissives, Masters and slaves.
Thayer is a strong, dangerous, Dominant. He owns and runs a very private and exclusive sex club. Savannah is terrified by the murder she unexpectantly observed. She runs to Thayer for protection, but that is easier said than done. He must take her where no one will think to search for her. Savannah is naïve and semi-innocent of all things sexual. She is also sunny, vivacious, fearful and alluring. She is curious and eager to explore this hidden erotic wonderland. Jasmine is drawn to Thayer’s powerful masculinity. She would really like to be “his” even if that includes the possibility of some punishment.
The interplay between these two individuals made me feel excited, aroused and eager to continue reading!
Thayer is a control freak, who falls for a girl that is just stubborn enough and she also happens to be his sister-in-law but they technically have no real relation, right? When he takes her somewhere to be safe, a whole new world is opened up to Savannah. I knew I was going to love her after a few paragraphs, and her concern for her fish, totally won me over. Savannah is thrown into situations that make her question what she knows and what she is willing to put herself through. ✨ His. Property. I should be appalled. I’m actually a little appalled that I’m not appalled.✨ The spicy scenes in this book were…. Less compared to the first book but they also felt like they were written differently, less detail and more feelings? It was more of how Thayer or Savannah was feeling during or after these scenes but it felt authentic to them so it was still satisfying to read. I also really enjoyed the plot line of this book, compared to the first. There just seemed to be more story line and it fit in with the spicy in the perfect way.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "MASTER ME" This is a terrific read you can't put down full of secrets, mystery, suspense, danger, murder, steam, action, twists that has you turning the pages. Savannah is young, beautiful, smart, finds herself in danger witnessing murder by a rival Mafia, she runs straight to Thayer because she trusts him to help her, he's all about order, careful, disciplined, dominant, she way to young for him but he'll do everything possible to protect her. Thayer owns Le Luxe Sex Club his idea is to hide Savannah in plain sight at his club but she has to pretend to be his submissive, obey him. I definitely recommend to get this well written story Thayer & Savannah take you on a sizzling hot journey at the Club their chemistry is so great will she be Thayer's undoing, will it keep her safe from the rivals, it a must read to see what happens. I'm so looking forward to "POSSESSIVE ME" the next in this series can't wait to read. AWESOME DARK MAFIA ROMANCE 🖤 🖤 🖤 🖤 🖤
I liked the story and the Gerard family. It was refreshing that all the brothers worked together for success. The eldest brother Thayer is pretty mouth-watering goodness. He is all alpha, dominant, intelligent, and with a sense of humor. Thayer is attracted to Savannah, the younger sister of his brother’s new wife Nicolette. Savannah is young, naïve, beautiful, and finishing up her degree. She is strong willed and refuses a guard to protect her. Savannah feels like just a plain person. However the Gerard family are not just plain they are a powerful family in various types of work with large sums of money. Savannah finds herself in trouble and runs to Thayer for help. I was slightly disappointed by the brother’s reaction to the security breeches, honestly, it lack the realistic sense. Also disappointed by lack of closeness between Nicolette and Savannah. The story alluded to this but their interaction showed less trust. The overall story was a good read. Read On!
Thayer and Savannah’s story doesn’t disappoint at all. I loved them more than I did Fabien and Nicolette, which surprised me because I really enjoyed them. I loved how Thayer was with Savannah, he tried holding himself back because her being younger and Nicolette’s sister, but in the end he couldn’t. And Savannah definitely didn’t make it easy! She was young, but feisty and smart mouthed, she really pushed Thayer’s buttons and tested his patience, and I loved it! Thayer is a guy who demands control and Savannah doesn’t always make it easy. The moment I enjoyed the most was when Thayer finally admitted to himself he loved Savanah.
I really enjoyed this book, but at times felt it was dragging a little. I would’ve liked to have gotten to know more backstory about both characters, especially Savannah. It was mentioned in book 1 she was in school and was a nanny, but a little more detail in her story would’ve been nice. Overall though I really liked. And finally, last but certainly not least is the brother I’ve been most excited for-Lyam!!!
Tantalizing and Naughty!! Master Me is definitely a very sensual page-turner. This book definitely turns up the naughtiness to a very delicious and enlightening level. If your into possessive, alpha and kinky men you will find Thayer quite delightful or as the French would say “ QUEL DÉLICE”.
If you were mine, four words that will have you falling for this dirty talking Frenchmen.
Let yourself get lost into this gripping, alluring and suspenseful French mafia world.
From the moment you start reading this book Thayer and Savannah will consume you. These highly intense, engaging and enticing characters will engulf you in their deeply electrifying, passionate and intriguing story. Once again Jane has given us another REMARKABLE story to escape into with STUNNING characters and an OUTSTANDING storyline.
Congratulations Jane 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Cette histoire est PHÉNOMÉNALE et ATTIRANTE. J’adore Thayer et Savannah!
I so enjoyed Thayer and Savannah’s story. Savannah is a little spitfire. She sassy and feisty, happy go lucky with a tinge of inner darkness. I thought she was cute and kind but not a pushover. She’s capable and faces things head on. Thayer is no nonsense, brooding and uncompromising in his life. He’s strict in his work and his personal affairs. He’s a Dom and a Master who doesn’t tolerate brattiness from his bed partners. But when Savannah is in danger and he’s her protector. She’s about to turn his world upside down. I adored these two. While being absolute opposites I found them perfect for each other. She brings light and sunshine to his dangerous world. Laughter in gloom and tenderness to a hardened heart. He brings out her inner desires. Fulfills her kinky needs. And lets her truly be herself. Their story is sexy and spicy. It’s action packed with a bit of suspense and danger.
I was definitely interested in reading this second story in the series about Nicolette's sister Savannah and Fabien's brother Thayer. Unfortunately, I could not warm up to Savannah. She constantly complains about being treated like a child, but constantly acts like a child and makes some pretty stupid decisions. Thayer isn't interested in a relationship, but he's interested in Savannah. He wants to train her to be the perfect submissive for him. The scenes at Le Luxe were amazingly hot, the mystery was interesting and the writing by the author was great, so that's a large part of what gives this a 4 star. I'll read the third book because I want to know what happens with the third brother, Lyam.
I received a copy of this book from the author and I'm voluntarily leaving this honest, unbiased review.
In the second book of this series, we get Savannah's story. She's Nicolette's sister and because of that, she knows the family her sister married into. When Savannah witness's a murder, she has to run. That leads her to where her sister lives and right into Thayer. These two didn't seem like a match at first but the more you read, the more you realize they are exactly what each other needed. The danger, mystery, and steamy scenes kept me reading. It was interesting to see how Savannah slowly gave in to Thayer's demands for submission and how she went from not wanting to then loving it. But there is still danger lurking, waiting to drag her away from the safe place she found. Can Thayer and the rest of the guys keep her and themselves safe? I loved this one more than the first one and I can't wait to get the next book!!!!!
Savanah, Nicolette's sister is adverse to have a bodyguard knowing what her brother in law does until she finds herself face to face with danger and witness a murder. She runs around Paris and ends up at The Gerard's family home looking for protection and shelter. She falls in Thayer's arms and needs his protection. What happens next is a whirlwind set of actions that will take her away from Paris and bring her into a world of secrets. Savanah was fascinated by Thayer from the start and the world he opens up to her is dark, mysterious but so enticing to her. This is the most enthralling, mind twisting, action packed story Jane Henry wrote. These two characters come together in an explosion of passion and force that nothing can tear apart even themselves. A fabulous story that I could not put down.
It was a pretty good book. Some of the phrasing is a little confusing in places. For instance at one point the author says something like but waht she doesn't know yet is, while the common rooms are cleaned on a professional level daily, there are themed rooms attached all around. The phrasing makes it sound like the themed rooms aren't cleaned when I suspect the author really just wanted to introduce the idea of the themed rooms to the reader. I'm not sure what the cleaning schedule has to do with anything. All that aside I enjoyed the story. I could have done without the level of mushy lovey dovey dialog that became very prominent towards the end but that's pretty standard in romance.
