It contains 15 units, each focusing on a practical and topical theme such as occupations and work, travel, shopping, entertainment, environmental issues, etc., and supported by grammatical structures, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, and writing exercises. There are five short review units, which correspond to tests printed in the Teacher's Manual.
Jack Croft Richards is an applied linguist from New Zealand, specializing in second and foreign language education, teacher training, and materials design. He has written numerous articles and books. Most of his books and articles are in the field of second language teaching and have been translated into many different languages. He was appointed full professor in the Department of English as a Second Language at the University of Hawaii in 1981.
I read it when i was 15 yo, I enjoyed it especially his paintings were really fun and good.It was good for that period but it isn't good one between to many learning book such as Oxford word skill or etc.
