Lots of great ideas, especially for kids, if you have some time. I think it would be hard to get a group to finish them, but I enjoy journaling and there are lots of fun option, including bits about books and libraries. In the very old days, books were chained to the shelves so people couldn’t steal them. Who knew??

This text includes detailed instructions for making 18 different homemade books. Each entry is complete with a color photo and illustrations of each step. The projects vary, but all use common or recycled materials. There are also brief entries on the history of book making and a variety of famous or unique books through time. This is a good choice for summer or vacation projects to be done with kids.

Star books are always popular for the winter holiday! I love the various books that are easily taught and learned from this book. Educators and others who work with kids should be able to find one to do a project. I've done them with 3rd grade up, and the kids always enjoy making them.

A very good HOW TO book. I love the idea of making my own books, to fill with my ideas, holidays and what not. Plus to make books for others so they can fill them with what they like!

Has some interesting projects and is well laid out. Irritating in that she tells some great stories about historical bindings, but provides no information about her sources.
