Subject Matter Depth The book touches upon various aspects of its subject matter in a systematic way. While it does not delve into extreme details, it provides a sufficient overview for a general understanding. Each chapter introduces a new facet of the topic, building a complete picture by the end. Useful book-- Flanagan's code fragments are a little more detailed than the snippets you might find in other books of this type. Somewhat old--an update to cover Java 5 or 6 would have been welcome.
