Gertie Williams is starting over. After a difficult divorce, her only focus is raising her son, Cooper, and making ends meet. The last thing she needs is a distraction—especially in the form of Noah Anders, the one man she hoped she'd never see again.
Noah is back in town, as handsome as ever and just as infuriating. Cocky, arrogant, and always meddling, he was once her older brother's best friend—and her childhood crush. But those butterflies faded long ago, replaced by years of teasing and irritation. Yet now, everywhere Gertie turns in their small town, Noah is there, stirring up old memories…and new feelings.
Noah's charm is relentless, and Gertie's heart isn't as guarded as she thought. Can she resist the man who once drove her crazy—or will she discover that love was waiting for her all along?
Since Forever is a tender, witty second-chance romance about finding love where you least expect it, healing old wounds, and learning that some hearts are meant to come home.
I've been writing all my life but took the plunge into professional writing in 2022. As an avid romance reader, I'm all about the spice, but it has to come with a solid plot. On average, I devour about one hundred books a year. My writing style is what I like to call 'mood writing.' I'm all about crafting super spicy romances that span across various subgenres—mafia, dark, small-town, and even paranormal. I believe in creating stories that keep you on the edge of your seat, with just the right amount of romance and a solid plot. When I'm in my writing zone, you'll find me in my cozy office/sunroom, surrounded by plants and snuggled up with my six furry friends. Yes, I'm a proud dog mom to six adorable pups! And who says six dogs are too many? Depending on my mood, you might catch me listening to Fleetwood Mac, classic R&B, '80s rock, or even New Kids on the Block. (Shoutout to my fellow lifelong blockheads!) Born in New York and having moved to Vermont as a child, I now call the beautiful green mountains home. I'll be hitting the big 5-0 this April, but I like to think of 50 as the new 35. I still feel like I'm in my thirties and excited to share this milestone with my wonderful readers. Very good first book for a new author. Sweet with plenty of salt mixed in. Childhood enemies (were they?) grow into frenemies. Can they overcome? My only complaint is that I wish it were longer. The story arc is strong, but each scene would benefit from more character development and the interplay between them. But I’m ready to read the next Anders Brothers love adventure.
Warm hearted story of Gertie and Noah. Childhood nemesis but secretly Noah always loved Gertie. This book dealt with the issue of domestic abuse an all to common issue women face often.
Get ready for a little steam, humor, angst and endurance. We see how Gertie is trying to raise her 5 year old son after her divorce from her controlling, abusive husband. We see Gertie's struggles and fears all while Noah fights hard to build her up and live through her pain.
Oh lordy! This book was a good one. Gerdy was a little frustrating at times due to her stubbornness and need to protect herself but Noah made up for it. That dirty mouth of his was so worth it. 🤤🔥Only thing it needed was more of those scenes because I could not get enough! Hoping book 2 follows his brother.
Omg, the character development and storyline was very well done! Beautifully written. I loved it being a short read for me. It just made it perfect. Fell in love with the characters. Great work!
I loved this book Tired stressed and trying to get through her days as best she can, having left an abusive relationship and threading lightly around her ex so as not to set him off as they have shared custody. Gertie runs into her brothers childhood best friend Noah, a man who gave her hell as a child. Angst, wit, sarcasm, annoyance, avoidance, all the things you'd expect between these two characters when they are in the same room I loved the character development between Noah and Gertie and between Gerties son and Noah Even the cat
I enjoyed this book, single mom to a cute 5yr old kid. Love interest is her older brother best friend from high school who moves back to town. Cute cat dad.
I absolutely adored this single mom second chance romance! Although this is my first book by Maretti I will definitely be reading more from this author. I loved reading Gerties growth though out this book and thought she was an amazing strong fmc. The plot really kept me locked in through out. Noah although a bit grumpy was my favourite character in this novel for sure.
Gertie is a single mom. She just for out a loveless marriage. She wants to start new. So when she bumps in to Noah her brothers best friend, she knows she’s in trouble. Noah moves back home after he found out his mom was sick. Seeing Gertie again brings him back memories from childhood. He wants more form her but she’s not ready. They take things slowly but her ex makes treats that scare her. Bring back memories from her parents marriage. Love love this book she will have you wanting to hit Noah more then once. Then kiss him. Noah is perfect for her. Epic book.
This was so good. Noah and Gertie have such a wonderful story, and I'm always a sucker for books where they have known each other most of their life. The story had a great flow and wonderful characters. I finished it in one night. This author is new to me, but I will be reading more of her work in the future.
I haven’t enjoyed a book this much in a long time! I would looove to have know what happened to Elliot though!!! I hope he got what he deserved! I’m looking forward to reading the other books this author has put out and look forward to others that come out in the future!!!
This book was so sweet and had me feeling so many things at the same time. It is a childhood friends to lovers story about a recently divorced mom who moves back to her home town. The shenanigans she gets up to with her childhood frienemy will have your heart doing flips. The author did a wonderful job creating the relationship and walking us through their journey.
I thought this was a sweet read with some spice. There was a little drama, lots of angst and some steam. I enjoyed watching the relationship between Noah and Gertie grow. Noah was probably my favorite character. He didn't give up on Gertie and continued to try and prove how much he cared. Overall, I really enjoyed it!
I love the author's attention to a grown woman's insecurities. I also LOVE that the older boy next door has always held a candle for her. Such a sweet story about overcoming past and present trauma in the search of future hope.
Are you looking for something hot but sweet? This is the book for you! Talk about hot flashes, the naughty things that are said made even this experienced reader blush. Highly recommend!!
They almost got me at the end. This book was cute and showed finding love after trauma and a messy divorce. Controlling ex’s and trying to make it on your own. I almost threw my kindle at the end when I thought Gerdy died but she didn’t phew. Domestic abuse is talked about heavily so be aware if you are not prepared to read about the topic

This was my first book by L.M. Maretti. I really liked it. It touched my heart, because I've been around verbal abuse and narcissism. I thought the author handled the subject in a positive and sensitive way. Noah was mean to Gertie growing up, but it was all in the name of love and protection. So, he has to prove to Gertie that his love is real. Well worth the read!!!
This is the first book by LM amaretti I have read. I enjoyed Noah and Gertie’s story. They have known each other since they were kids. Gertie had a crush on Noah but her brother Mike wouldn’t let anything happen to his little sister. Fast forward a few years and Gertie is now a diner mom of Cooper who is five and the light of her life. Elliot her ex husband is not happy that she has Noah around Cooper and things take a turn when he shows his true colors one day. Luckily Gertie has her best friend Jules, Noah and Aiden to watch out for her and be there for her.
When your past collides with your present, it sometimes taints the experience. Sometimes you have to keep on pushing through and open up your hearts and minds.

Since Forever is a charming romance story between childhood friends/frenemies after they reconnect many years later. The book is told in two POVs. We meet Gertie, a recently divorced mom of 5 year old Cooper, and Noah, her brother's best friend during childhood, who has recently moved back after his mother fell ill. The two reconnect and sparks fly. However, things are not easy between the two of them, and they soon find out just how difficult relationships can be.
This is the first book I have read by LM Maretti and I devoured it in one sitting. The characters were so well written and relatable. The story line was great and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The chemistry between Noah and Gertie was intense. I found myself routing for them to get a happily ever after. I also adored Aidan and can't wait to read book 2 and find out more about his story.
Although I thoroughly enjoyed this book, there were a few things I found lacking. The first 3/4 of the book was amazing, but the ending fell short in several ways for me. There were 2 time jumps towards the end of the book, and I felt that we lost alot of important information with them. Story lines were just kind of dropped, like Noah's mother's illness. The "big event" with Gertie and Elliot happened, but then we never really got closure with how everything progressed. What happened to Elliot? I also hoped that we would see Uncle Mike at some point in the story, so that was disappointing as well. Why did the story end so abruptly without giving the closure we crave? I am not sure what the author has in store for book 2, but I hope we get some of these answers!
Really, really enjoyed this dual point of view story! Noah and Gertie have known each other since they were kids. He was her brother's best friend and she was the annoying younger sister who had a huge crush on Noah and she was sure hated her for no apparent reason. Years later, single mom Gertie is thrust back into Noah's world and there is no avoiding each other as much as Gertie tries. It soon becomes apparent that Noah very much doesn't see Gertie as an annoying little sister and definitely doesn't have brotherly feeling for her. Things really get heated between the two and there are some really hot and steamy moments. Old resentments and issues get more clarity and soon they catch real, adult feeling for one another. It's not all smooth sailing, there is domestic abuse (not by MMC), so be aware of that trigger. This was my first read by L.M. Maretti and I'm making sure it won't be my last!
From childhood nemeses to cautious adults who couldn't deny the spark between them, well... she tried to! I love second chance romance, and this started out as a quirky fun couple who never got together because she misunderstood his motivations when they were younger. It turned fairly dark midway through when the ex husband began showing his true colors which led to a lack of communication between our couple (a pet peeve of mine IRL relationships) and almost destroyed them. Luckily things got turned around but the story seemed to end abruptly after all the struggles the couple went through. Looking forward to more in the series and hopefully will get a fuller picture of the gaps between the time jumps.
