Never in my wildest dreams had I ever thought I'd enjoy being watched by a stranger. What a rush this was. Every nerve in my body was on fire and I didn't want this new sensation I was experiencing to end.
Read it in one sitting. Fierce plot, lovely characters, and don't even get me started on the sex scenes (wow)!
Tina's writing is amazing and I fell in love with this story straight away, can't wait to read more by her.

This book was the first I have read from this author and she definitely did NOT disappoint! Absolutely loved this book and the detail it goes into! It’s a very thrilling, mysterious and sexy read. This absolutely will not be the last book I read from Tina. Don’t miss out on this awesome book!

Sabela drops off her boyfriend, Davin, at the airport. After six months, they have agreed to end their relationship when he leaves for Texas. Later that day, she sees Slater, and he awakens a part of her she didn't know existed. The next time they see each other, sparks fly, and they explore territory that is new to both of them. But Davin has decided that he doesn't want to let go of Sabela, even though she has made it clear that she has moved on. To what lengths will he go?
I enjoyed the story. I was pleased with Sabela's inner strength and Slater's loyalty. I hope to read the next book in this series, EVE, soon!
I recommend this book for mature readers who enjoy romantic suspense novels.

What a great read!

This is my second book I’ve read by this author and was lucky enough to receive an ARC of it. This isn’t your typical romance novel. I consumed this book within a day!
It’s crazy suspenseful, and will definitely keep you guessing with every twist and turn in it! I absolutely loved the characters (except one in particular...but you’ll have to read it to find out who!) and the storyline was fantastic! Can’t wait to read the second book in the series! When this book comes out, you need to read it!

Slater entered Sabela's life when she thought she had time to "sip and savor" and partake in his essence, but her ex.had different ideas. Are you ready for something steamy? I was picked to receive this book as an ARC by/from the author and thoroughly enjoyed the read from the first page to the last (cannot wait till the next one in the series!). Full of romance and edge of your seat suspense, you enter into Sabela's struggle to find strength within herself to stand up for what she really wants for her life.

You laugh,you cry and your breath comes in rushes at times.
I absolutely loved this book! Haven't read one this good in awhile. I definitely give it 5+ stars!

I was really surprised at the 5 star rating of this book & that is the only reason I read the book. I felt Sabela was weak & whiney and was not a woman who could make it in life without a man and had only had sex with a man mission style. Then you throw her into a new relationship with someone else whom she has sex on the beach having other men watching them. I personally could not end this book fast enough very ridiculous and boring.

Read it in under 6 hours!! Hot, steamy, spicy, electrifying . First book I read from Tina and I want more. If you love spicy romance with a great story with it, this is for you. Strong characters , story line and fantastic writing! Very much looking forward to the second book Eve in this series. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up

Warning if you need some good company... Here is a great boyfriend book!!
I read this book straight through lol. I was hooked after the first couple pages. I really liked the new level of sexy hot, action packed, and not corny and predictable. This book should be read by adults or 18+. I am very excited to see what she does in the next book of the Sabela series!

The heat is on and when they are together they are combustible. And author Tina Hogan Grant makes sure the fire never goes out by fanning the flames with her words.
Written in first person POV, the reader has a direct line into the character’s head. And we clearly know what Sabela has on her mind as she disrobes at the beach under Slater’s watchful eye.

I couldn’t get enough of this book. I just wanted to keep reading. Sabela and Davin have a “friendship with benefits” relationship until he goes away to school in Texas. Along comes Slater, who Sabela meets one day on the beach. The chemistry from the beginning is off the charts. They are definitely a match made in heaven in my opinion. Davin definitely doesn’t make Sabela’s life easy especially from Texas. She winds up somewhere she shouldn’t be. Slater does everything in his power to keep Sabela safe after an unexpected event happens and he doesn’t see her for a few days. When he finds out why she didn’t meet him for dinner, he’s mad at her ex for doing what he did. They continue their relationship, but definitely keep their eyes and ears open at all times. Could they have a happily ever after or is there relationship doomed because of Davin? I couldn’t believe how strong Sabela was and how she stood up to Davin and wouldn’t give in time and time again. There is a lesson here-don’t let anyone rain on your parade. Do what makes you happy. Don’t let anyone tell you what you are going to do, and be strong and be with someone who is going to treat you the way you should be treated.

Her novel made me cheer and scream, wanting to finish the book to get my emotions to a stable setting. I’m reading another novel in this series that continues to fascinate me. I highly recommend this alluring five-star novel. Can Sabela escape Davin’s sociopathic threats or will she be saved by herself or need the assistance of a protector?

I was a bit out of my element with particular book. It was sexier than I normally read. That being said, the overall domestic thriller part plot was interesting enough to keep me interested. I didn't hate it, and I did finish it, but overall, this simply isn't my preferred reading material.
Sabela leaves Davin at the airport, the two ending a roommates with benefits kind of relationship. The relationship seemed to tethered together more by convenience that attraction.
Considering her life as she sits on her towel at the beach, Sabela can't seem to keep her eyes off the hunky surfer also watching her on the beach...until her cell rings, it's Davin, calling and breaking the spell...telling her that she is his.
Caught off guard by the tone of the conversation, Sabela is even more frustrated when she finds that the hunky surfer is no longer on the beach...
Cue in obvious ex-boyfriend issues and potential new boyfriend... you'll have to read the book for more details.

“Slater” picks up right where the prequel left off, and I’m happy to say I liked this book so much more. Davin’s jealousy is still causing trouble—his lies and manipulation add a real layer of tension to the story—and Sabela finds herself trying to break free from his hold. Enter Slater, the gorgeous surfer/construction guy who’s determined to protect his second chance at love. Their chemistry is strong right from the start, and I enjoyed seeing Sabela stand up for herself while Slater stayed loyal and steady.
This isn’t just a romance—there’s plenty of mystery and suspense woven in, which kept the pages turning. The story moves fast, the characters are easy to root for, and the twists kept me guessing. It does have some steamy moments, so I’d recommend it for mature readers who enjoy romantic suspense.
After disliking Davin so much in the prequel, this book was a big step up. I’m already diving into the next one in the series to see what happens next!

Sabella soon finds herself in a very intense and heated relationship with Slater, A nickname given to him for the occupation he holds. Their relationship grows into a very happy one. But hold on, Davin is not out of the picture. Sabella is picked up for car theft, blackmailed and nearly assaulted by whom? Which person turns out to be the culprit? Who accompanies her to court? And what ends up happening to Davin and Slater?

I enjoyed this book. The characters were well developed and the story line held my attention. However, there were places towards the end that felt formulatic and somehow not authentic. Unfortunately, the editing errors were very distracting for me. At one point, the author writes, "she was a fresh of breath air.". Yes, I know what the author meant to say, it is still distracting. Further, while the author did a decent job of researching arrest and court procedures, the editing errors of confusing the prosecuting and defense attorneys was infuriating! Again, yes, I know what she meant to say, but the fact that it is not what wax said detracts from the overall story. With a good editing, I would recommend this book.

I really liked this book, getting hooked right away. I had a hard time putting it down. Sabela said good bye to a boyfriend who was going away to school. It was an amical breakup or so she thought. She met a new guy & they clicked right away, but her old boyfriend was not done yet. She was shocked when she found out what her old boyfriend was really like. Lots of steamy scenes included in the book. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

This book needs a warning. ⚠️Warning panties will spontaneously combust within the first 44 pages⚠️. This is one of the hottest books I have read in awhile. Not only is it hot but it also keeps you on the edge of your seat. You never know when danger is lurking. Slater was yummalicious, caring, strong, sexy, and protective. The perfect book boyfriend. A wonderful read.

Slater is a surfing hunk!
I loved Slater!! Sabela is a strong female who not only overcomes some horrific things in her life but also still has courage and love to give and not afraid of living out her fantasies! I started out with Davin so I suggest doing that if you are new to the series! Thank you Tina for an amazing read!

I enjoyed reading Slater. It’s mystery, drama and sexy all in one. The story line is good and exciting. It’s also very realistic. The characters are believable and endearing. There are some graphic love scenes that could be uncomfortable to some. I gave it 4 stars and look forward to reading more from this author. I highly recommend this book.

Suspenseful romance
Sabela gets involved with the wrong man! She knows that Davin will be moving from California to Texas in a few months for school and she sees nothing wrong in having a fling with him until then. But once he leaves, he won’t let go. He is stalking her and threatening her. A page turner for sure.
