Paci is an author from my home town of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and don't know why I didn't hear of him before the last year. His writings reflect the city itself but more importantly the immigrant experience and the true multi-generational struggles of families coming to grips with their new lives. More than just an expose of Italian life in the Soo, he reflects the gritty relationship between parents and children and their expectations of each other.

"In the Father Paci returns once again to his great theme - the conflict between the Old World and the New, the past and the present, men and machines, father and sons. This is a touching story, painful, strong and true."
