I liked this book. I think the purpose of this book was to show how a doctor (MD) combined the information from Edgar Cayce's reading, the science of the body, and castor oil to try and help his patients heal their bodies. I will admit that I did gloss over some of the scientific parts as I read later at night when I was more likely to be tired. I appreciated all of his case studies to show when it helped an ailment and when it didn't. I also liked using the index, so I could look up different uses based on ailment or body part. Of course, it indicated how to create and apply the castor oil pack. I didn't mind the repetition as each case was not alike, so the application wasn't always exactly the same.

It took me a while to read the book as I was trying to absorb the science along with the application. If you are not interested in expanding your medical/health knowledge and just want to know how to apply a pack, you can find that online (at least for now). I am glad that I have added this book to my my health library.

Not a lot of practical advice

Very tedious writing mostly just regurgitatimg Edgar Cacey s "reading s". These readings, which were really spirit channeling by the medium Edgar Cacey, were written in very cumbersome and hard to follow language. The author constantly seems to marvel at how Cacey could have correctly diagnosed so many diseases without actual medical training. The author completely misses the point that Cacey merely channelled these readings and that they did not originate from him.
I learned nothing new about castor oil that I didnt already know. Make a castor oil pack, apply heat and keep it over the area of the body where you are having issues. Do it for several days in a row one to two hours at the time. Very disappoining book and very poorly written and organized.

Very poorly written. This book is more about the authors fascination with Edgar Cayce than about the benefits and uses of castor oil itself. Would not recommend.

Interesting, yet so poorly written and formatted for Kindle I was distracted a lot by the errors on most pages. I like the philosophy of the connection between mental and physical health a lot. I read this because I've noticed that castor oil packs have left my post baby tummy much improved (not dissolved, just improved) & they are super relaxing. For those reasons alone I will stick with this therapy.

This is an excellent book about Castor Oil...the goodreads.com spelled it wrong. It's an amazing oil that indeed affects the nervous system for the positive.
