A short book and in truth it doesn't say anything new- what it does do however is give it a different angle and I found this very useful. It distilled all the tons of stuff I've read into a couple of basic points and chapters that made a lot of sense. Read it with something at hand to make notes as it has loads of useful questions that you can apply to your own manuscript/ writing. I'm a bit of a pantser in my writing style and have always wanted to be a plotter but haven't found a way of planning that works but will definitely be trying the methods in this book. The author unveils techniques and makes them very accesible. At the price it's a very good buy and I will be dipping in and out of it a lot. Logical, concise, practical and useful, this book provides clarity and simplifies things, taking the mystery out of writing techniques. If you want to be a writer then it is definitely one for your bookshelf.

This was a very useful and informative book filled with words of encouragement helpful advice. It's great to know that there a many different things I can try to get past writers block or just more efficient ways to turn that good idea into a great book.
