Works of Darkness guides the student of the Dark Arts into the blackest rituals and through the darkest regions of the human psyche and through hell itself. The most ancient rituals and teachings from the dark halls of the Ordo Ascensum Aetyrnalis are set forth here in detail and illustration. Included are the theories and rituals of necromancy, demonic evocation, divination, destructive magick, and more.
As promised by author very detailed and well articulated on operation of dark art practices. Gave me a good overview from an armchair prospective of practicing black magick. I respect the works of this author that I have read.
Despite what everybody has to say about him, I thought Koetting's "lessons" were at least as competent as most other new age/witchcraft authors'. He doesn't personalize or customize his belief system, preferring to invoke "the powers of darkness" rather than a specific deity or deities/devils/spirits. Although slightly repetitive, I found that I actually preferred this level of ambiguity; after all, it is for the individual practitioner ("operator" in Koetting's parlance) to tailor the workings to suit one's purpose and flavor.
I'm not sure I would consider anything in this book particularly "advanced" however. It's about on par with Cunningham's level of complexity, which is to say, fairly basic.
