Fascinating palace intrigue. Story of- George 2, Queen Caroline, PM Robert Walpole and Frederick, Prince of Wales. King George and Frederick come out as horrible individuals, philandering and narcissistic! Walpole's job was pretty difficult. On a separate note, gossip story is, Hervey's elder brother actually fathered Horace Walpole, youngest son of Robert Walpole 😉

I gave it a go, but it boiled down to poorly-explained fussing. The sort of person who wants to be a courtier always has a trivial mentality.
